What do you when your support is too passive in lane.....like a lot of my recent games I've had this problem where my support isn't trying to make plays they're playing far back behind me and I'm having troubles csing because I'm getting zoned out by enemy support........

Depends what the support is...Brand zones all.

Generally feel like adc/support should try to match each other in passivity/agro-ness. Ideally natural tendencies will match, but lacking that try to meet in the middle, and if that doesn't work just sigh and play their game, and embrace the farm under tower life until jg intervenes and/or laning phase ends.

Nothing except ask him. Supports set up the pace of the lane, they decide when to go in or stay back.

Nothing is worse than an autofill support who thinks standing back and watching his adc CS is the support's entire job...

How about when an adc is too passive? No offense.... this happens in all lanes and all you can do is to farm out and try to carry them.

It also could be...... that you're too aggressive of an adc.

Farm safe.

Other way ´round for me as Zyra-sup. My adc´s often don´t even seem to know that I need my W and my E first to zone anyone. They are trading before I am even lv2. And then when I am effectively poking and have the vs down in HP..... my adc has only 20% HP and can not finish. Then I am near full HP and the other 3 in botlane have 20% HP. That feels bad especially because this is not necessary,

Only because some adc´s seem to be unable to kite or play defensive in earlygame when a Soraka or a Lulu or a Brand just press Q. Had a MF last days wich thought it was a good idea to trade a Nami in bush. We knew Nami was there and I avoided the bush - MF was walking straight in and tradet. First I thought it was a mistake. After the 3rd time I told her to stop this. She said - no, it´s a good trade.

It is a question wich kind of support you have. An Alistar support or Blitzcrank should not stay behind you (if, then write or ping them). Others will perhaps for special reasons like me as Zyra before I reach lv3.
