If it's a score wth do we get out of it? Literally you could pour hundreds of hours into mastering a champ and its like "hey that's great, play more to get the essence for your next mastery level" Not only is it dumb that you have you spend blue essence on m6 and m7, but getting to those points only gives you a boring (but shiny) emote. Which yes it's nice. But damn having 518 champion mastery score feels pointless, and so does mastery on a specific champion, when you just don't get anything out of it. Please upvote for better mastery rewards (that are champion specific so when you get m7 on your main you get a reward for that champion) ty for your time spread the word

maybe give people with more than 1mio masterypoints/season an unique chroma (for this explicit Champion)?

not everything needs a reward the points are just bragging rights and thats 100% ok

You get the emote no flame honestly, but I dont know what you expect to get for just some mastery points. They arnt even really tied to your performance everyone on your team at the end of a game gets the EXACT same points as you do.

Mastery points are generated based on Win\Loss and the rank you obtained for that game. If I consistently get an S rank I will get almost double someone that get's a B. So getting to a certain threshold does merit some value. I recall when I amde it to 1 million on Shyvana how happy I was after that the number becomes a blur people jsut comment every game. THAT'S A LOT OF POINTS.

I think a Chorma or or extra flare to the Mastery emote wouldn't be too much to ask for a 1 Million/2 mil etc. threshold.

I distinctly remember asking my friends at the end of each game how many points they got and they always replied with the same number that I got but people need to not expect a reward for everything they do.

Just actually checked again with a friend I got a flat A he got a Flat S and we both got 767 Mastery score

next time you play with friends just ask them see what they get for score we had the EXACT same (767) nothing more or less when hes a whole grade above me

Then when they get a D and you get an S+ come back with your argument, because I garuntee they won't get 1000+ points like the person who got the s+ [sg-ezreal] "Time for a true display of skill"

What you're asking for is extremely uncommon and borderline would have to have me or a friend purposely feed while having the other one pop off lol getting a D is not an easy task if you are at all trying.

But if such a thing happens or anything similar I will let you know and I'd advise you to ask your friends after every game what they got and see for yourself.

Already had that happen before bot got carried by og irelia with a 0/11 carry the difference in mastery points gained is very large

I had a team of 5, 3 of us got the same mastery score despite me getting an S and them getting an A. 2 did not though they received B or less and got 792. I got 969 Points along with 2 others. It might be that their is no difference in A/S due to tokens existing.

There shouldn't be more Mastery rewards until tokens stop being arbitrarily limited to classic Summoner's Rift. If I can earn Hextech chests from good performances in ARAM, why can't I earn Mastery tokens? If I can earn ranked rewards in Twisted Treeline, why not tokens? "High competitive bar" doesn't make sense when Normal SR games grant them, and in every other instance, Normal SR games aren't considered competitive.

Mastery tokens should be restricted to only ranked queues (including TT) if "competitive standard" is actually a requirement. Otherwise, token drops should just be enabled everywhere, or at least in all of League's permanent game modes.

I just played vs a Brand who has 1.2 MILLION Mastery Points in Brand and I knew brands play style better then he did.

Was Crazy ez laning vs him.

There was a time when mastery points didn't exist.

They added those because people like to feel that they can dedicate themselves to a champ and show that off. That should be reward enough, especially since mastery points are a simple side effect from playing the game. You do nothing special to earn those points.

I don't think rewards are necessary. They might want to expand the system with more levels and maybe emotes for global mastery too (like for a specific champ).

You have to buy m6 and m7 with blue essence, if it were free maybe I'd agree, but it's not so a more satisfying addition would be nice when I could be getting champions with that essence instead
