I know he hasn't been released yet so it's too early to be passing judgement, but I'm glad we finally have a new champion that won't be hopping around the map like a damn bunny rabbit, be an assassin with an aoe stun and massive heal, or some other crap that makes him too slippery or too strong.

With Tahm Kench, his kit is inherently healthy. Worst case scenario, they can adjust the raw numbers of his abilities, but none of his abilities are toxic. Let's go back to the days of releasing champions like Vel'Koz because I for one am tired of seeing champions like Fizz, Kalista, and Ekko.

No, but srsly, I agree, his kit seems really cool, I'm looking forward to seeing him in action. He'll probably mostly be a jungler if he can survive well enough in it, if you ask me.

I dont think he has the sustain or damage to jungle although I had really hoped that was his primary role before he was revealed.

I thought the same thing but then came to wonder if his kit can handle it

he doesn't have clear abilities after all and even with his massive regeneration, that would take him multiple additional seconds to go to the next camp and be healed while still not retaining full hp

personally, i'm finding it hard to find a niche for this champion idea...he sorta seems like a skarner top but he doesn't have a kit really made for top (jayce for instance can lane bully him just like anyone else)

though the slow clear times in the jungle might be worth it for the early "triple kill" for bottom lane

actually, as our nightmares feared, I think he's just Thresh Version negative 1.0

or a better way of putting it, a replacement for when people ban thresh in the LCS or etc so that he can make LCS big plays...

He has a fairly big heal,shield,stasis (Middle of ekko ult) he has a semi global ult (2 Man semi shen ult)

His ult trades utility for being completely passive though. He has 2 damaging abilities, 200 range on his auto attacks, and his shield is expected because he's a tank.

Basically what he is saying is he is glad they didn't push out another hyper mobile carry. His ult has a long cast time, does no damage and is fairly telegraphed (Not saying it isn't super strong).

He should be able to be played top just fine. What does being passive have to do with anything? Just sit there, be tanky, and farm; that's like every tank top laner in the game. He's a tank, he isn't supposed to do a lot of damage.

I was just saying that Riot has already specified him as a solo laner or support and that we shouldn't put him into one box before he comes out especially considering what he's already been stated to be. I main support and top lane and I'm gonna be playing him in both lanes. Most of my comment was just a general reply to what some people have said in other threads about him being too passive or not doing enough damage to solo lane.
