because what is their flex queue rank

Determined by MMR and not rank.

Cocho1 votes

well we have no idea what their flex mmr is, the diamonds rank could be g3 with g4 mmr lol

I think there's something wrong with that if our solo rank isn't considered at all

Look at them. One of them even has a negative winrate. https://gyazo.com/7bf7ac0267e291936d3131ef0b8753e8

They shouldn't just get auto diamond lol. HIghest a person can get placed is plat.

People generally don't tryhard in flex so their rank is different. It makes sense to have a different MMR so that people can try different stuff. Also, many use it for playing with friends so let the group get their rank together.

That's like saying it's OK for a Challenger to play vs a Bronze 2 because the B2 guy has a higher winrate at 53% and the Challenger has a 47% winrate

Cocho1 votes

I mean if the challenger legit has a 47% winrate in bronze, then something is wrong. Not because he has a 47 winrate, but because he has a 47% vs bronze.

If I went into flex and just spammed riven, I'd get rekt and feed every game playing against other diamonds. I would need to play in a lower elo.

I said vs a bronze, not in bronze.

You can't have one without the other.

Unless the MMRs are just fucked like at the start of this season, a challenger is never going to get paired up with the bronze.

Unless the bronze has challenger MMR, or the challenger has bronze MMR lol.

There was nothing wrong with matchmaking in your example. It paired you up with people in you elo/mmr

Your original post is complaining that the diamonds are lower ranked in flex than what they maybe should be. They haven't earned the higher rank in flex. A challenger playing in low elo with a 47% winrate is trolling or something lol

So diamonds vs golds ending with the gold team getting stomped is a fair game? Interesting...

Cocho1 votes

their rank doesnt matter if they're garbage. Either team can win

if I play riven, im not going to play at a diamond level.

General Esdeath 1 votes

Clearly they're not garbage if they're diamond, and I doubt everyone plays a champ they don't know in flex.

Cocho1 votes

I doubt everyone plays a champ they don't know in flex.

No, just the ones that are in a significant lower elo because of it or havent made a climb

General Esdeath 1 votes

But these players weren't playing champs they didn't know

Cocho1 votes

49% winrate vs golds, lets put him against diamonds

I played a ranked game as a S5 player on my other account and fought a D3.. lol

just OK jungler1 votes

BECAUSE ITS FLEX QUEUE

Just Blame Jenny1 votes

I mean, my flex queue rank is lower than my solo queue rank.

I don't play my mains in flex. I play my off roles/champions so that I can practice in a competitive environment.

(Good gods, I know I'll be downvoted to hell for this.)

A leap from gold to diamond is a little big compared to the usual of 3-4 divisions
