It's 5 man global ult and CDR is fairly easy to get on mages now.

The sad thing is that CDR for summoner spells is fairly easy to get as well. As the mastery and Ionian boots each give 15% Summ spell CDR.

Only at maxed Karth ult level does Karth have a non-summ spell level ult cooldown, and that's lower than barrier by only 20 seconds (with no CDR for either) at a point of time where lifesaving items and abilities are most common.

Meanwhile, there's an enormous amount of champions that have ults that are just as impactful and potentially more so on a lower cooldown. Such as Taric's and Soraka's ults.

Plus the large amount of items and abilities that just render it null. Which is why I think it needs a bit of a rework, and I hoped it'd would've been addressed in the MYMU.

The only good thing I find about Karthus, everyone's may vary, is his Wall of Pain and Requiem. Other than those two abilities... he is trash.

The problem I have is how useless his ult often feels with so many life saving abilities and items being everywhere on a significantly lower cooldown than his ult.

Its a global ult that can be cast while dead and has a short cooldown endgame while hitting over 1000 on squishies Relatively easy later on.

Ill give you a hint an adc usually only has 1. 8k health late game

There's a 4 second period in which you can cast it after death. If you cap out at 45% CDR, it's a 88 sec CD at max level.

Items such as Sterak's and Maw of Malmortius will eat a significant chunk out of the damage. Maw of Malmortius will reduce the damage dealt twice while being a good damage item on the ADC. Soraka ult will outheal the damage of Karth's ult provided they're below 40% HP which is when you're going to want to ult. And Soraka's ult is on a lower cooldown.

Taric's ult is on a lower cooldown and has less channel time which means he can completely negate it EVERY time Karthus casts it provided that the team is grouped. A variety of champions have abilities that can easily nullify it due to how telegraphed Karthus's ultimate is.

And often times, an ADC will end up at 2K hp or more due to how useful items like the Black Cleaver and other items that provide damage and tankiness are.

What I want is a better ultimate, in which the MYMU disappointed me, as Karth's current ult is suffering from unhealthy design. It's either overpowered and in need of nerfing or often useless because of items/abilities.

My point is a skill thats like that should have a high CD.

I think you should play shen if you want to feel the same pain.

My point is that it needs to be changed. It's too binary, which is something that Riot has been trying to eliminate from the game. If the enemy builds items against it or just has certain champions, it's barely more useful than an AP Draven.

It's indeed an incredibly powerful ability in the right circumstances, but often times it's not very useful. Any champion with untargetability can nullify it without difficulty, other than Zed.
