Try it with Gangplank or Ezrael and just... enjoy. I didn't expect this to be my favorite rune, but it gives a tangible benefit stapled onto each skillshot, parrrlay or barrel. Whichever Riot dev thought this up deserves a cookie at random every time they punch someone in the face.

It gives resources for trading in lane consistently, and tapers off in the later game where those quick trades are less prevalent.
I do however, forsee a sizable nerf towards it because of Ezreal (less so GP) because he can make benefit of it the entire game, and is almost abusive with it in lane.

Built to Tylt1 votesDude, I went EZ support with this last night and this rune is ridiculous. Free wards, mana pots, damage buff pots...it's insane. I didn't leave lane (first back) until I had over 2k gold and because the enemy laners were definitely on the item advantage page.

Ezreal and Gangplank being 2 damage dealer, they should be opting for something to take damage not random gold earning and consumable runes. Them picking this runes show it's overloaded and it will be nerfed to oblivion if people like Ez and GP keep abuse of it.
Ezreal always find a way to abuse of some item and it seriously get old pretty quick.

So...Ezrael is the real problem/solution behind all of Riot's imbalance? Well Ezreal abused of Runeglaive, he abused of Iceborn gauntlet, he abuse of duskblade, he used to be played mid , jungle now, adc and even support now because of kleptomancy... so yes he is a part of.
