The reason why there is no AP upgrade for QSS

If there was an AP version of item 3139, then those three champions Malzahar Warwick Skarner Urgot would be heavily nerfed, since they rely so much on their suppression ultimates. AP champions would finally have an efficient upgrade for QSS, so they wouldn't have to worry about losing in power, and could just rush QSS and either upgrade it or save it for later while being immune to those champions' ultimates.

Due to this, those four champions would probably need buffs to compensate the loss of power. Depending from which type of compensation buff they give to them, those champions could end up nerfed.

Riot could also make suppression not be able to be removed by QSS, therefore going against the point of giving AP champions an QSS upgrade on the first place. This could potentially make Malzahar, Warwick, Skarner and Urgot extremely OP picks and they would be pick or ban on competitive and SoloQ games, and then they would probably be gutted.

To allow them to remain strong but balanced, QSS should not have an efficient upgrade for APs. It should remain an item that for APs, is inneficient outside of removing suppression ultimates.

It's probably because of Zhonya's.

Imagine if an AP could have Zhonya's and AP QSS without sacrificing late game slot efficiency.

They become far too safe.

Imagine if a AD champion could build a item 3140 and a item 3072or item 3153oritem 3508 or a item 3074 and a item 2140 Holy shit that would be op and far to safe, oh wait...............

Please do not try to suggest Vamp is even remotely comparable to Lifesteal, it isnt.

I said nothing about Vamp or Lifesteal...?

If the AP had QSS as a slot efficient defensive item for late game, they'd have too many strong options.

Additionally, AD itemization doesn't have too many efficient hybrid damage/defense items.

Rylai's, Abyssal, and again Zhonya's are strong hybrid damage/defense items that ADC's don't have varieties of in their build paths. Instead of having those strong defensive itemizations, they have strong sustain options such as BotRK and BT. It's a trade off that lets them feel different from each other.

item 3116 ad counter part is item 3022 both built for utility and damage.

item 3001 ad counter part is item 3156 both built to survive in bad times and gain damage.

item 3157 = no counter part. Built primarily for the active. Must be completed for active.

item 3139 = no counter part. Built primarily for the active. Powerful active not gated behind completion meaning AD users get a better build path on there best defensive item and Ap users can still obtain this sometimes needed item.

A offensive qss would probably make the ap build path way to good. It seems one to many vayne players have used the qss active and pumped a few silver bolts and a bork active into me. I should stop posting when sleep deprived, ty for correcting me.

It's really because AD gets item 3140, AP gets item 3157, and everyone has access to summoner 1

Cleanse doesn't work on supression though (which seems like part of the OP's discussion. And honestly, either it needs to or those problematic suppress effects need reworked.)

What the fuck is this item then??!??!!! item 3222 stfu dumb fuck, don't make posts talking about an issue people complain about if you don't even know about it. EDIT: There is so much counter play to those champions it isn't even funny, so don't say an ap upgrade to qss would be unhealthy, especially when nobody makes posts about it

The only dummy here is you: Mikael's DOES NOT work on Suppression effects (and isn't usable when you yourself are under CC)

Outside QSS and/or having a team mate nearby, they have NO counterplay. Without QSS or a team mate's CC/lucky shot, Malz and Warwick straight up win any duels due to the BS that is their ult. Malz has a ridiculously easy combo and Warwick will likely reduce you to the point he has permanent vision AND a great movespeed boost to chase you with.

That item is an item that doesn't work on suppression. Read the item description. It is very, very specific about what effects it cleanses, and suppression isn't listed.

You replied to the wrong guy.

Yeah, I was trying to reply to the guy above you. I feel shame now.

Never called you dummy, and yes it does test it out in game.

Mages already got the best item in the game that helps in nearly every situation and has overpowered stats for the active, zhonyas. They dont need qss, that would be overkill. Simple as that.

I mean it also has a lot to do with the fact that mages just shouldn't get hit in the first place

AD champions tend to have to put themselves in danger for longer periods of time because they rely more on sustained damage whereas a Mage can burst and get out and repeat and often does it from really far away. If mages had higher survivability it'd just make them almost unbeatable.
