Riot, have you ever considered adding an "amount shielded" post-game stat?

I'm not talking total shield given, but total shield actually consumed. I think it would be a great indicator, personally. More useful than "amount healed" at the very least.

It would help visualize impact that specific champs (Thresh, Janna, Shen, Skarner, Tahm, etc) have in post-game, as well as give a much more transparent balance lever (we all know certain champs get a ton of unseen power from shields).

I've always wondered about a Damage Mitigated stat. It would include damage absorbed by shields provided by you, but for champs that provide bonus resistances to allies as well. So Galio can see how much his Bulwark helped mitigate damage, Taric can see how effective his aura was for the game, and people who bought Aegis items can see how much that contributed to to the team as well.

the problem with 'damage mitigated' vs 'damage shielded' is the amount of work that would have to go into it. There are so many interactions and moments to record, edit, etc that it would take up a lot of resources to implement.

It could be done, but its very doubt-able with how few features Riot adds compared to a simple 'amount shielded' or 'damage shielded'
