ftf ;D In all honestly I do agree with you, but trying to fight zed without specifically choosing a counter still sucks. And this happens far too often in YOLO queue.
FortisDominus1 votesi dont mean to come off as a dick, but if you truly do struggle against a certain champion, you better expand your champion pool with a champion who counters him. Thats what i did for top lane when i played alot of rumble before he became shit. I learned to play renekton because i struggled vs irelia as rumble.

Meant to say more like this: Suppose you are 2nd or 3rd pick, oftentimes you'll pick a champ that you really like mid, one that doesn't necessarily counter Zed (i.e Diana) and then they get mid last pick, and OH HEY, it's Zed! That lane is basically insta-salt (For me at least), especially if you are playing a relatively squishy champ.
I really do try to expand champ pool as much as I can, but I am legitimately on the level of DogDookie 7, and avoid playing ranked unless it's with my friends who tend to be just as bad XD.
Edit: Also, how do you feel about 
vs Zed? I feel like I've done fairly well, at least until my bot lane fed him like crazy and he insta-gibbed me before I could even ulti.
FortisDominus1 votesyea kayle is like the best counter to zed. I just dont think she is all that great of a counter until kayle reaches lvl 11 when her ult lasts longer and she has the potential to 1v1 zed or have her ult last long enough to counter assassins.
Yea there will be times when you get counter picked in mid lane. But if you feed, its your fault. You should feel confident in every lane match up when you go into a ranked match with the champion you choose besides extreme hard counters like teemo vs tryndamere (which is just impossible for tryndamere). Thats why i say zed is a very winnable lane match up. If someone picks zed just to counter pick your champion, you should be able to roll the lane unless you make a mistake in lane.

And seeing that Kayle is a huge counter to zed makes me super happy, she is one of my absolute favorite champs, and the first one I ever bought. As a side thought, isn't Kaye a huge counter to Yasuo too?
FortisDominus1 voteskayle counters most squishy damage dealers late game because she can use her ult, take no damage, and shit on them. Without ult though its almost impossible to 1v1 champs like yasuo, zed, talon, ect...
They just do too much damage and kayle cant dive out as much damage in a short period of as they can so if you wish to fight them you should have your ult unless you are shitting on them so hard that they cant kill you regardless

That's why champs that hit 60 % winrate got nerfed (Ahri, Skarner, WW) and were called "broken", cuz winrate doesn't mean anything... Diana vs any other assasin - the first one to get a lead snowballs. Zed can't outrighclick her earlygame and he has no reason to do this. Spams shadows and Q, when she goes oom, she dies. Her lvl 6 all-in is stronger, but Zed is not a champ that manfights, so she shouldn't be able to get him. If she wastes R charge to close the gap, she dies. If he gets hit by the Q+R, she can probably kill him, but he can still outplay her.
Zero Skill Tank2 votesYeah well Diana seems to have advantage over Zed, but Zed is so absurdly broken ATM that she still has negative winratio vs him.
Thing is, a Zed has literally 0 reason to ever be hit by her Q, and if she ever goes melee to farm, she will eat Q + E + E from a shadow. Yeah shield will stop some of, but well, Zed is manaless he doesn't care.
X8ViEhkPS02 votesIn the past Diana was notorious for being "Better Akali". But also way back in season 2, and I think in early season three not entirely sure on that part. Diana was the counter pick to Katarina.
And I'm not talking a soft counter, it was a hard counter to the point that Katarina was better off laning somewhere else.
