Also I think it's getting worse and worse because nobody wants to put support secondary because it's all they'll get (me being a prime example)
It's ridiculous the shit I experience as a support main sometimes.
Yesterday I supported a Kog as Leona. We're doing okay in lane against a Thresh and Sivir. We're pushed up a little so I go to ward, Kog doesn't watch the map and gets jumped (because he didn't back off). I instantly turn back around and flash+q Sivir and block a Thresh hook so Kog can run. I run but still ultimately die at my tower, while Kog gets away with a sliver of health
Kog: Uh, next time tell me when you're gonna leave
Me: You could watch the map and see I'm going to ward, you're welcome by the way.
Kog: sigh, that's what the last trash support said, I guess I'm just gonna mute you.
I mean what the actual fuck?
And there's another reason (and it's kind of a big one). Whenever I play support and my lane gets ahead, the lane instantly becomes a 3v2 because the enemy mid/jungle come bot every 5 seconds. But when I play support and the enemy gets an advantage, I practically have to beg for any help at all, even if the enemy is dry humping our turret. It's very very aggravating sometimes...
Meanwhile, I put support primary and regularly don't get it.
Sadly most ADC mains do act like this

I've been playing a lot of Support lately and I agree- ADCs .. no, most of the comps (unless they're chill to begin with or are your friends from the start) treat you like trash. Unless you're 0 0 and 40+ on assists, a simple KS or CS can tilt people so hard or have em rage.
I remember when I went
support and I was killing a siege minion at our tower in order to heal my ADC via through
and suddenly I see this chat post from my ADC saying, "Leona don't attack the minions, let me last hit them" but when I tried to explain my Relic Shield heals and grants the gold anyways whenever I slay a minion, he says "Less whining and more aggressive plays." .......... Let's just say I muted him after and just played.
If you have a Support on your team, please thank them. They're the reason either your ADC is fed, you guys have map vision most of the time, or ya'll get kills / get saved in team fights. Supports are friends, not tools.
ADCs always been most toxic class, but its never was worse than that. Any game i play support this season would be extremly unfun if i wasnt playing Bard. So, if he flames me, Im like "Time to get that baron pit chime".
I main support.
Pretty much quit, it's not fun anymore.
Another reason that no one wants to play support right now is because the amount of attention it gets from everyone on the map. Junglers love to go bot lane since it is a potential double kill, and they can even use the brush for ultimate lane gank cheese. Not to mention the fact that the enemy can potentially take 2 teleports and just jump on you any time you even try to fight the enemy, which can be a nightmare when youre in one of the games where both of your laners take ignite and arent even winning lane or forcing them to burn tps.
Not to mention the amount of roaming mids like
that are all meta right now.
The worst part about supporting is dealing with a lane partner that doesn't understand the support role and/or champion.
When I go ward or do any number of things that aren't a hard-ass engage, they misread my intentions and end up killing themselves.
because supports seem to be worthless in this meta if you have no dmg, youre useless
I still consider myself a support main but I avoid playing it most of the time now because of one SIMPLE TINY thing: Wave management.
Explanation: At a random point in the game around 15-20 minutes in, a strange phenomenon that always occurs. The ADC and the Top Laner will always leave their lane no matter what state it is in to join fights in mid or irrational fights in the jungle.
When this happens I want to start crying because in most cases, the minions are pushing against us and if the wave is left unintended, your turrets are going down. Your only hope to stay in the game longer is to zzrot portal one of the lanes then go to the other lane and protect the turret with no wave clear abilities while your team accuses you of "farming". It is like people have no understanding how much map control they are losing when just one turret goes down.
Solution for the non-supports: If you are an ADC or a Top Laner and there are minion waves about to take down your turret, I don't care what the team says. Don't go with your team and fight a completely random fight that accomplishes nothing. Do something meaningful and protect your turrets. The farm you get from protecting your turrets will be a safe and added bonus.
ADC's: Your job is to stay bot if the enemy wave is pushing too close to the turret. The support's job is to roam where ever help is needed once the support has properly warded for you so you know if you are in danger or not. If the enemy team groups up 5 mid 12 minutes in, then you don't need 5 people to protect mid. On top of that, the support will usually have more tools to defend vs an EARLY siege than an ADC will. Stay bot until the wave is pushing in your favor if you want to join mid OR just keep pushing until you take the free turrets.
Top Laners: Same as ADC's except you should have some support from the jungler and you should partially be your own support. Buy pinks and use your trinkets as you start pushing the waves further into the enemy's side of the map. If you want to play TDM style then rush a zz'rot, set it down next to your turret, and join the team right after.
Summary: If the side lanes do their job, you will have forced the support into being more likely to do their own job more efficiently. For the newbies who complain about supports "farming"................ DON'T LET THEM. You go back to your lane, defend the turret, and take your farm back. This will force the support to leave you alone. If all the enemy knows how to do is go 5 mid, they will be clueless on how to respond to their side lanes being taken. Eventually they will send 5 top or 5 bot. That is the rest of the team's time to push mid.
As I support main this means I have very short queue times.
nobody wants to sit by and be some assholes bitch the entire game. Fk that. i'd rather play a role that isn't the team punching bag.
