Veigar gets Thresh's ult at level 1

They both create this pentagon, and if you touch any of the sides you get CC'd (slowed in the case of Thresh and stunned for Veigar). Both of these abilities are extremely powerful when used correctly. However, Veigar also has range with this ability. Thresh's ult can only be cast where he is standing. So, we have an ability that's similar to a Thresh ult, except it's better in every way, and he gets it at level 1. Seems fair. And even if Veigar is completely retarded and somehow misses his stun, you're still trapped inside it. So he gets rewarded for missing a stun (the cage is so huge I don't see how it's possible to miss, but I guess it happens sometimes).

Veigar is also a squishy mage that has his only teamfight contribution being press E and hopefully hit people and deleting one target.

As opposed to Thresh, who gets a mini pull + jump, AoE knockback/pull, and a lantern that allows an ally to jump to his position. Sure, his R is a bit weaker, but he also has much more CC and playmaking then Veigar.

I am pretty sure this is just a joke that not everyone is catching on to. There were many of these threads in the past. For example:

Miss Fortune has Gangplank's ultimate at level 1

Graves has Nocturne's ult at level 1

and many more :-D! I loved those threads

And? Thresh's Ult complements the rest of his kit as a Support. Do you want to make Veigar's E suck, or make Thresh's R too OP? The Box also does damage, and Thresh can knock people into multiple walls.

Not really best comparison then.

Guess what, Anivia gets a rebirth AND free armor + magic resistance, while Zac only gets a rebirth. That means Anivia is OP, right? Since one part of her kit is better than one part of someone else's kit?

Actually, Rito hates anivia so much, she gets NEGATIVE armor and MR while in egg form. Just sayin

You can hit thresh's ult more than once, which creates a stronger area of denial compared to veigar's stun. The stun however leaves you vulnerable moreso BUT you can only get stunned once AND its ranged. I think veigar's thresh ult at level 1 is fine... especially since the stun isn't that strong early on.

As is veigar's stun its an area of effect, and if he misses it guess what? He loses the fight cause he's squishy as hell. I get your argument that the abilities are similar but since Veigar's does no damage and Thresh has a lot more forgiving ult in terms or duration (at least in early lvls) I would say that Veigar E is not something to complain about.
