Suggestion for How to Properly Change Senna (In my Opinion)

With the release of Senna, the game saw an upset, no surprise since she's new, with the game's "balance." Other posts remark that she'll be a must-pick for a lot of matchups, but also heavily banned. Some even said she'll be banned just as much as Kassadin when he was broken. There's no doubt she'll get banned and nerfed into the ground. Senna's problems right now make her a ADC with self-supporting capabilities which is unique, which I'll compliment Riot on, but overpowered and impossible to properly balance. This champion clearly needs to either become a proper support, or an ADC who isn't completely self-sustaining without items. Considering that her lore puts her alongside Lucian with the "power of life" she possesses, i thought the role of support best fit the character, which is why I suggest these changes and have pointed out her current issues.

What Make's Senna Overpowered: -She's able to heal her teammates with an ability that also does decent damage. -She can heal herself -She can do a high amount of damage -She can root enemy players -Her abilities are on fairly short cool-downs

What needs to be done to balance this champion: -Nerf the damage on her Q, but keep the healing -Significantly reduce her self-healing. This makes her way too powerful, especially as an ADC that's comparable to Lucian. -Nerf her damage overall, except her ultimate -Increase the cast time of Senna's ultimate -Increase the cool-downs of all of her abilities by a factor of 75% of their original/current cool-downs

Comments: Senna is by far one of the most impacting champions to date. Her release was no surprise an upset to the game's "balance." These balance changes aim to make her more of a support similar to both LuxLux and SonaSona, while reducing her effectiveness and presence as an ADC who can take on pretty much any other role; like top, middle or ADC bot lane.

-She's able to heal her teammates with an ability that also does decent damage. -She can heal herself -She can do a high amount of damage -She can root enemy players -Her abilities are on fairly short cool-downs

Listing only strengths makes any champion feel strong. We should also consider the following:

  • She has low mobility.
  • She has long attack frames that make her easy to hit with skillshots.
  • She has a slow attack speed.
  • She has reduced critical strike damage.
  • She actually has rather long basic cooldowns (15 flat, 11 flat, 26-20).

-Nerf the damage on her Q, but keep the healing

Her Q's damage is fairly low for the cooldown/cost, at just 50-170 + 50% bonus AD.

-Increase the cool-downs of all of her abilities by a factor of 75% of their original/current cool-downs

This would absolutely destroy her.

Some people say some really stupid things.

24 W CD ~FAIRLY LOW COOLDOWN.

IMO her cooldowns are totally fine.

Passive needs adjustment and ult travel time.

All that needs to happen is she loses the MS bonus on each auto attack; make it crit only or something. And her base range should probably go down a little.

She's really not that strong. She's just new, and breaks into territory never before seen in League. People don't know how to deal with her.

Maybe cut the self-healing she gets in half, but buff something else.

Senna is completely fine the way she is, probably needs buffs to her Damage, because she can't really compete with late-game ADCs like Jinx, Vayne or Kai'Sa, and in early game, she's weaker than Lucian and Draven. Doesn't have any real midgame powerspike.
