Please don't circlejerk the Evelynn nerfs, as well as the other changes.

Give the changes some time to settle, I'm pretty sad that one of my favorite champions is getting nerfed heavily. But please don't circlejerk the nerfs, and the various other changes of patch 8.2

If Riot was too harsh with Evelynn's nerfs, they'll compensate her in a patch or three. If she's still performing well on a regular basis, then the nerfs were justified. The same holds for everything else.

It's still just barely the start of the season, give Riot time to work out the problems in the new runes, current AP itemization, and just the balance department in general. It'll probably be rather slow, for various reasons. But anyway improved mage itemization will also likely mean improved Evelynn itemization.

So instead of circlejerking the current situation, do your best and see if you can find a new strategy to adapt to the situation. I know I'm certainly going to try. And do remember that a champion not being pick/ban doesn't make them bad, or even weak, just that they're not overpowered/overwhelming oppresive.

So wait and see, if the changes are for the better or for the worse, we'll know soon enough. Not long until patch 8.2 goes live, anyway.

They were harsh with queueing via Dynamic Queue and took forever to compensate that.

They were harsh with OE refund rate and we are still waiting for that.

They were harsh with the mid-season Mage Update and mages are still reeling from that with crappy AP itemization.

They were harsh with old Eve and reworked Eve, leaving them pretty much either trash or meh for years. I won't hold my breath that Rito will correct relaunch Eve if these nerfs ends up hurting her a lot.

The past 3-4 iterations of Eve, been too long and too many reworks so I can't really remember which number it is anymore, have been a lot harder to balance than her current version. Hybrid scalings, hyper-spammability on her old Q, self-shields, various types of AoE % HP damage, etc.

ill take a dps hit if riot shrinks her stealth range. maybe twich size? i mean hes ranged and she is melee so thats fair right?

Permanent camouflage vs limited camouflage. Honestly, they did a great work balancing her perma stealth and they should keep it that way.

Mele range no gap closer vs 800 range auto attack

Nerfs aren't that bad. Infact, its trimming a bit of excess off of her teamfight capacity, considering the popular Runes are Electrocute, Dark Harvest, and Summon Aery (Which all help do additional damage), you should barely even notice it unless you're like ... going tank or something.

Well, it's a pretty big chunk out of her burst speed and slows her farming/clearing by a bit, and her early game was pretty weak, which is where I feel the changes had the biggest impact. It took 1/3rd out of the ability's scaling, but a bit of initial burst damage loss can be compensated for by something like gunblade or other items that're available.

What bugs me is really just the base damage nerf, that part was a bit heavyhanded imo, since she didn't need her clearing nerfed.

True. They have already firmly established that they want her to have the weakest early game of the majority of Junglers, and her late game... well... she was very good at killing just about anything and gaining a critical velocity in snowballing terms.

That ma be true but the reason why she is so strong is due to her reaching late game easier due to her building frost fang(for those who don't know AP junglers that build frostfang is equivalent to singed abusing darkseal and pots) but hitting both i the same patch seems a bit much.
