Tier restriction, now groups of IRL friends will have to split and they didn't have to before. IN particular, since higher elos are so rare, higher elos have to make friends on League to have someone to play with, 'cause it's highly unlikely for them to have other higher elo players among their RL acquaintances.

How was team 5s being made up of people who were in varying solo queue ranks anything close to abusive?

What if players in Platinum, Diamond, Master, and Challenger want to play in a competitive environment with their friends who are Gold and below? Team ranked allowed people to do this and was a better alternative than smurfing. Now, instead of the team's ranking being on the line every game, each player's individual ranking is on the line.
There was also a sense of accomplishment within all the players when a team would achieve a certain ranking (Silver, Gold, Plat, Etc.). Now with the current ranked queues, the rewards are merely selfish and individualistic.
LiveYiOrDieHard2 votesSince they're bringing solo queue ranked back (which I fully support) they should just get rid of the tier restrictions on dynamic queue ranked. It's basically a new, easier to use, ranked teams queue anyways.
