So, regardless if you have vision or not, the announcer will tell you when the enemy team has killed Dragon/Baron; even going as far as showing you the timer and clearing the spawn marker.

And yes, this happens in ranked as well as normals.

GOOD JOB RIOT.

Yeah, this is something i have a slight issue with.

I don't understand how that is supposed to spruce up the competitiveness of the game when you don't even have to pay attention to the objectives in order to be able to defend them. That is half of the object of the game. Outplay the enemy team. If they are not paying attention to something, they shouldn't be getting a timer on it.

Same with summoner spells. Half of this game is knowledge. That is what has made it League of Legends in my eyes. Over simplifying everything will kill it, just like Blizzard did to WoW.

I think you guys are missing the point of why they did it. They did it because any nonbraindead player already knew when drag/baron were taken due to the obvious things like the buffs on any visible enemy.

My problem with it is that it instantly tells you exactly where the enemy is, even without wards. I've had that problem since they added in the dragon global scream. It's annoying.

Not really, since one team has a massive advantage most of the time - excluding pro play

Not like its hard to hear baron and dragon's death screams.

I mean it was possible to get the dragon timer before without vision. It makes a sound when dragon is slain and from the time you hear the sound you can easily time it yourself.
