Ranked: always dodge if you have a bad feeling about your team

I've learned the hard way to stop trusting my teammates when I see weird picks or suspicious attitudes in the Champion Selection. I promise I try to be positive about it. I mean I play Taric jungle very well, I am quite open minded for non meta picks. But if your team is giving you a bad feeling, DODGE. Every time, EVERY TIME I decided to trust their judgement it went wrong. Or they were just trolls trying to ruin the day to other 4 people. Losing 2 LP is better than losing 20+.

I don't know man. Sometimes the guy actually is a plat boosting peoples' accounts, so he goes 17/4/10 and carries you.

Unfortunately, you can't do this more than twice, or you're looking at a lot of wasted time. If you don't have a lot of time to play, sometimes you just have to grit your teeth and hope for the best.

The ranked system currently penalizes people trying to win, and privileges people who don't care or enjoy trolling. It's pretty absurd.

It is unlikely that i happens twice in a row. It could happen, but it is rare. I do duo with a friend so we make turns of who is gonna dodge if we have a bad feeling. He was always up for dodging and I wasn't. Then I changed my mind every time I decided to trust the team and it went wrong.

I have lost a lot more than just 2 LP for dodging a ranked queue. The only positive is that you don't get a loss on your record.

I prefer to trust my teammates, like the Cait that picked Tele, or the Nid jungle when it was first becoming a thing.

There was ONE TIME that I knew I should have dodged and chose not to follow my instincts. They locked Anivia jungle, took blue and came bot lane to try and get my support and I killed by walling us in. They even said they were going to troll, but I had faith that it was just an off-meta pick and that they were actually going to try.

It is not like you are going to be banned for dodging. You get penalties and time out of the queue yes. And they get higher every time, yes. But it is something you can decide if it is worth it or not. It is an strategic decision. Do you want to lose a few LP for sure? or do you want to risk to lose 20+ instead when you feel it is likely to happen?

humm, interesting.... i alway thought it was against the rules of the game, and thats why they punished you... is it suppose to be a strategic decision in the game? sry, im not there yet so i cant even play ranked.... it seems... counter intuitive sometimes

I learned to dodge toxic people and troll picks the hard way. When I first started out in ranked I gave people the benefit of the doubt but around 80-90% of the time when someone was toxic in the lobby and/or someone picked something really bad like Zed support or Bard jungle, my team lost. So yeah, I dodge that crap now.
