The funny part is that I actually want the role support and tend to get mid 40 percent of the time. I'm guessing 2 people duo queueing bot lane.

Exactly this.

I think the matching isn't tuned optimally yet either. There have been plenty of complaints of the system choosing the secondary over the primary role; I've even asked a couple of times and inevitably someone responds "yeah, I put mid primary." Both times, funnily enough, they were on the role I put primary (jungle once, support once) so we just swapped.

I dont mind Support, im a jungle main so my laning is not great. However i still want to play Jungle, thats why i put that as my primary. But Riot freaking looks at my Secondary and tell me "Oh? You Really wanted to play that one. Dont worry we got you."

For the 4th fucking q in a row im stuck on my secondary when I ONLY want to play Jungle.

Actually, you can't do this. Your 2-person team has to include 3 positions. So there are actually people who want to play support.

This is my biggest beef with this new system. I want to play Support and about half the time I get mid (which is the second role). I have stopped playing LoL as I dont really like playing anything but Support. I hate this new system and it ruined the game for me.

Is it too hard to let people only choose one role if that is what they want to do? I dont get Riot forcing other roles on people when they dont want to.

I think its cause matchmaker wants to give you roles equally. Just cause there is Primary/Seconday doesent mean 1st one will be prioritized. Right now for the matchmaker you are maining both of them.

As a support main this is just NOT true. I don't understand why people keep saying this.

I do sup main, jungle secondary and get jungle about 1/4 of the time.

And in the old que style, I would only get sup about 1/2 the time. At least this way I know I'll get jungle if I don't get support. I hated having to fill lanes I wasn't good at in the old que style.

There's a lot more people out there playing support than people think...

It depends on the tier.

I started finding significantly more support mains once I hit Platinum than I did in Gold or Silver.

Also, for some odd reason, more trolls and ragers.

As a support main from previous seasons, it's really hard carrying the lane and game in general below high Gold, especially as peel supports. Once you reach that point, your team actually knows what to do and you can actually make plays and expect your teammates to follow up on them.

It's definitely easier to climb low elo as any of the other roles. I'd say Mid>Jungle=ADC=Top>>>>>Support

Of course, that's when I ban Zed and someone on the other team always times out after that.

You'd be shocked how many duo que support + adc's are out there.

God I wish. As a support (okay, only Leona) main, and someone who can't carry a game if they where 8/0/0 at 20 minutes, I go with Support/Fill, and get Support, sometimes. That is why I play more Normals so that I can use my awesome (read, slow) reflexes to call out support before any one else.

Primary Support = Secondary role. if Secondary is fill, then it is Jungle.

Secondary Support = Support.

Primary Fill = Support OR Jungle with slight chance in AD. Secondary Fill = Support.

It's funny because supporting has been streamlined so goddamn thoroughly that its pretty much AP mid or top without the CSing.

Way, way back it was stacking gold/5 items like Heart of Gold and Philo Stone and Kage Pick and buying a ton of wards.

Until recently it was item 2049 and item 3092 / item 3401 / item 3069 which is MILES above the S3 meta of hoping to eventually get enough gold.

Now it's literally been streamlined into item 2303 , item 2302 , item 2301 . It's everything you could ever want in literally ONE item (gold generation, wards) in addition to useful stats.

You can take literally anyone in the support lane because you're going to be making so much goddamn money that you will be able to afford at least several strong items towards the mid to late game. It's LIGHTYEARS above S3.

Back on topic, the queue is kind of shitty honestly, but it's to be expected.

I went for bot primary and fill secondary for 20 games and i got all 20 times support., Ofc I know that fill means support but shound't i get my primary role at least for 50%? I think the system is a joke right now. I really like supporting but i dont want to play it everygame when im maining adc.

I have a thinker kind of brain so I just put the role I actually want as my secondary. Unless I want my main role. Since it's support all I have to do is put it and fill as my roles....BOOM! "Garen"teed support every time.
