You don't really understand how league works, do you? A projectile in the game is any non-unit object that has a travel speed. Blitz's fist? It doesn't have it's own health bar(Tibbers, Shaco box, Malz bug) or action(Azir's soldiers, Maokai sapling(but only after it lands), Orianna's ball) apart from Blitz, nor is it an instantaneous effect, such as Vel'Koz's and Azir's aa's, victor's q empowered aa(which is a true laser) Annie w, and Brand w/e, so therefor it is blocked. Same with Thresh's hook and Illaoi's e. With all of these you could replace the visuals with ezreal's q's visuals, and they would function exactly the same. Why? Because the animations are there for flavor and to make the champ feel alive, not to dictate how they function.
Short version
Not Blocked: units, effects that do not have travel times
Blocked: everything that is not a unit but does have a travel time
Why is it this way? Simple, for consistencies sake. Why should everyone have to remember that an Nami bubble cannot go though, but a Blitz hook can? Why should Thresh's hook go through when Morg's binding and Lux's q and e cannot? The bindings and the singularity are just light, so why should they be blocked when a PHYSICAL HOOK is not?
Much easier to just have it be "if I have to shoot it through the wall, it will be blocked" both for the player(I do not want to have to memorize what can be blocked by the windwall) and for the programmer(making exceptions isn't exactly easy, and doing that just to make the game harder to learn for the player is dumb).
