Hyper carries

I know the flames will be incoming for this, but it needs to be said.

Hyper carries are supposed to be the late game, high damage champions that win teamfights by killing off the enemy team. In return for their late game dominance, they are supposed to have very weak early games to balance them out. The problem right now is that almost every late game carry doesn't have a weak early game.

Jinx has stupid long range farming ability and her chompers to keep her safe. Once she gets BF sword, she is set for the rest of the game. KogMaw doesn't even matter if he has a bad early game, he will still poke anyone out of a fight once he hits 11. Vayne her early game is probably stronger than Graves right now. Twitch has the weakest early game, but once he hits 6, he can gank pretty much anyone easily, but his late game is still weaker than most hypers. Tristana has a safe game due to rocket jump and her resets. Kalista isn't supposed to be a hyper carry, but she really doesn't have a weak phase the entire game.

There is really no reason at all to play the other ADCs while you have the option to play these champions.

I think you might be giving to much credit to these champions.

As someone that likes getting into the Dominion and Treeline metas and playing those game modes? These hyper-carries are not strong early game compared to anyone else, actually really awful picks in Dominion more often than not.

What's really giving them an edge early-game is more having a support, and the fact towers and minions hurt early and naturally favor having range.

I mean - imagine how amazing top-lane Tryndamere would be if you got a support. You'd have someone zonning for you so you could maintain max Fury, have freedom CSing without being turned to paste, an ally that will stun enemies so you can wail on them with auto-attacks, someone that could protect you so you don't need to ult to win a duel.

Paired with towers and minions favoring range, there's really not much Riot can do to make late-game champions super-useless if you give them a support. Lulu status cray-cray power early is going to make any derp early champion feel reasonably solid.

Also - I'm not sure Riot really wants those champions to feel completely useless early.

Average game only lasts ~33 minutes and sees ~11k gold per player, which is only ~3 major 3k items, 1k in boots, and 1k in the bank when someone's Nexus explodes. Early game and Mid game are 100% guarantees and will always happen. Late game is not a sure thing and may never come. It's quite possible to win a game at the surrender mark, beat a team so badly they'll surrender, or get so behind you're mostly stuck in mid-game itemization/levels when it's late.

If you watch pro-play: a common tactic is picking a lot of early/mid-game champions and gaining a ton of momentum early that carries on for the rest of the game. Without some early presence, late game picks would generally be the Paper to Scissors, being rendered obsolete and completely unviable.

I'm pretty sure ALL champions are balanced around Summoners Rift, since it's the main focus of the game. All other game modes are basically for fun to be realistic.

As for an early weak game, all you have to do is get a champion like Ziggs on your team who can stall out the game until you ramp up. So they would still be extremely viable. I think this would introduce even more strategy in the game.

I like to play Jinx. She does have a good early game and a good late game. The only problem is if she gets behind.

shouldnt that be the same problem with any adc?

op is right. some of these guys either need to lose their ridiculous lategame, or be actually really weak early on.

with jinx that will never happen, unless her numbers are tuned down so much, that its almost not worth picking her at all. her problem is, that while being a hyper carry lategame, her kit is simply too versatile. she can adapt to any opponent shes facing.

either just outrange them, outdamage them in minigun mode, or just sit back and poke with w.

twitch alte game weaker then other hyper carries? 850 range aoe crits says some thing different. i would say he is the strongest full build adc since he hyper scales best with crit out of all adcs.

I don't think anything is better than the Jinx rocket crits. They are absolutely insane.
