Lee Sin haters

You constantly say that Riot didn't nerf Lee Sin because they valued what people like to see over actual game balance. But wouldn't the opposite be stupid as well? You guys begging Riot to nerf Lee Sin is literally asking them to do what you condemned them for saying earlier.

Dominated jungle since I have been playing this game over 2 years ago. Everything has always been balanced around him. I don't think making him to the point where he isn't the best jungler is a bad thing.

According to scattered historical records by old old players unlike myself, there was a time when Riot rolled out a change to Lee Sin. A complete overhaul of sorts, to rein his power back in. This change was met with such widespread revile that they lost the will to ever attempt to change Lee Sin again for fear of the playerbase.

This story is based in some fact. It is conjecture as to why Riot never tried to change him after that attempt failed.

Yet they don't give two shits about player opinion when it comes to other champs.

RIP Cassiopeia.

They still nerfed him after that. They stopped his rework, but he was still met with nerfs.

I hate lee sin I think he lacks counter play..... However I also understand he has a high skill cap and that really does a lot to balance him out.

"Lacks counter play". How about not letting him do anything without consequences?

I hate Lee Sin because he's at power levels that other champions get gutted for after one patch, but he's been this way since I started playing.

Lee has the 12th lowest win rate. But he's so strong right?

Oysteroth1 votes

I shouldn't have to explain why win rates don't mean all that much in terms of balance. Lee Sin is known for being extremely powerful, but his kit requires mechanical knowledge and good execution to be properly used. In the hands of a skilled player, he is dominating in his ability to destroy the enemy jungler at multiple points, and in his amazing ganking potential. In the hands of a poor player, Lee is absolutely useless. This causes his win rate to be low. You cannot honestly believe that Lee is the 12th worst champion in the game right?

Win rates are a result of balance. IF anything, Lee is UP right now. Lee Sin has an average of a 46% win rate in Plat. In diamond, it's 47%. In Challenger, which isn't a good place due to the small sample size, his win rate goes from 38% to 55%, with the average still being under 50%. Please explain how Lee is such a god in high elo.

If you actually think Lee is UP, then I'm just going to end this comment chain here.

Everyone says Lee's true OPness comes out in high Elo, so why doesn't he have a 55% + win rate in challenger? Or diamond? or any elo for that matter. He's not fucking OP

Honestly i dont think its lee sin that too stronk...i think its the rest of his opposition thats too weak and thats where the balance should be made. I think lee sin is in a good place...he is op if you are skilled enough and take the time to learn him, woot woot. if you are unskilled he is friggin useless and a tard farm punchbag free kill for days. The problem arises at a certain level where lee sin is good...and the other jungler that didnt get lee sin who is also skilled and good at lee sin has to pick a lesser jungler...all his choices are lesser when lee sin has a skilled player at the helm, we all know it...and then all the other junglers get nerfed, so now where are we????

Joe Dredd1 votes

Sejuani has a higher win rate than him. So does Naut.

Lumus Avatar1 votes

Winrate is not a reliable metric because it's far too heavily embedded in team composition and cooperation. Riot has stated that they do not look at winrate when they make changes.

Joe Dredd1 votes

Win rate isn't a factor in champion balance. It's a result.

Joe Dredd1 votes

Also, so by not factoring in win rate, I could say WW needs buffs, Janna needs buffs, Fiora needs buffs, etc? Maybe some nerfs for Urgot and Gragas?

He was picked or banned in every LCS game this summer. Tell me, why would pros use him or fear him 100% of the time if he was balanced? He has a very high skill cap, but with this skill cap mastery comes ridiculous rewards. Extreme mobility, extreme base damages, % health damage, damage mitigation, essentially 7 abilities and a multiple cc's to boot. He can't be balanced without removing key factors of his kit and they will never take those away. The only real way to nerf him is to make his base HP the same as Yasuo's. And going off of win rate like the others have said is unreliable....there are far more unskill bronzies picking him and performing poorly than there are masters/challengers picking him and utilizing his skill cap, and for us Diamond+ players who see his full potential, he is always a headache to play against in the hands of a good player

Joe Dredd1 votes

Nerf his health to yasuo level, watch his win rate drop to 30%. There, finally balanced (^:

Also, his win rate is still under 50% in diamond. In challenger, his win rate nears 50%.
