How Long Until We Get Another Manly Fighter Champion?

Best Ekko NA··6 votes·1,419 views

Yasuo and Darius were the last "new" champions released that are actual manly fighters. I would count Kayn, but he's more some type of creature than a man (and slightly emo at that). I'm not sure what's up with this trend making all of the new champions look emo these days, but can we just have a champion that actually resembles a manly ass man (and not a meme like Braum)?

I want to see a new champion like Jarvan IV, Darius, Lee Sin, Garen, etc. Not to bag on any of the new champions, they're all cool in their own ways, but this game hasn't seen a manly champion in a long time.

Look at Sylas, arms fucking buldging, and his accent is sexy as a mofo. Also, Yasuo is a pussy he isn't manly at all.

Sylas "Am I a joke to you?"

Sylas is a mage man, he's no warrior. He's also a bit emo, but he's not all bad.

Aatrox's rework, Swain's rework, the upcoming Mordekaiser rework, and the upcoming Pantheon rework are all very manly, though they aren't "new". I also think of Ornn as very manly, even though he's more of a god/goat. Rakan is very flamboyant, but I wouldn't say he doesn't count. He's very masculine, just not "manly".

As far as new champions go, the one after Yuumi was teased to be a jungle-themed assassin that may hide inside walls, so they're likely not going to be the pinnacle of manliness (who knows, it might be some Tarzan-like character), and the one after that is an "unorthodox" marksman that we know very little about. Not very prospecting.

I agree with you - There is a distinct lack of intelligent, masculine men in the game. Most of the men we have in the game are angsty, childish, or dim-witted. Where are the scholars, the warriors, the leaders? As far as gender politics go, exemplifying what it means to be a real man is just as important as showing that woman can be powerful. Everyone should have a fantasy they can live up to.

Obviously Poppy is the manliest champ in the game. (I'm being sarcastic just to stop salt now)

I'm not counting reworks, you're right. I honestly hope if they ever rework Tryndamere they turn him into a real barbarian. As for the others, like Swain, Ornn, etc. they are definitely more aimed at the 'hardcore' crowd, but I wasn't really talking audience, I really meant what you described in the last paragraph -- real "warrior men". For a game about fighting, there are not enough Draven and Darius type champions in the game. Riot is pushing too much into the fantasy aspect and not adding the simple real "Pantheon" style champions that most guys like playing.

hopefully not before we get another thot champion. realistically we only have MissFortune Leblanc and Evelynn . we havent had a real thot ever since irons stylus idiotic campaign to get rid of them and never release them again. I mean hell they even nerfed nurse Akali sexiness after her rework.

What about Pyke?

Dude flung himself into the ocean with nothing but a rope around his waist to secure hooks to sea monsters before going into their mouths and harvesting their valuable organs. And now, he's a terrifying ghostly serial killer.

Pyke is not a warrior. I'm talking about fighters, you know like Draven, Graves, Olaf, Riven, Irelia, etc. Pyke is definitely manly, but he is not a warrior. I also happen to think that Sylas wasn't half bad, but once more -- not a warrior.

If you find Braum is less manly than Yasuo, I honestly don't know what to say ^^'

Braum is the manliest champ in the whole roster. Yeah, Darius, Garen or J4 are cool and badass. But Braum's the best.
