How are AD assassins supposed to function if their full build combo doesn't kill a carry?

Seriously curious as to what Riot thinks the intended game play for an assassin is once late game hits, where they can't actually assassinate anything due to supports providing an unreasonable amount of shielding and healing to the carry.

Are they supposed to sacrifice themselves to kill the support, and then get turreted down by the carry? Most supports have personal survivability to stop this.

This may not apply to low rated games; in higher ratings, the carry and support never separate, so there's no possibility of a pick, making assassins feel pretty worthless. It feels really bad to carry the early game, then lose because you have no ability to close out the game and become worthless by the enemy team stalling.

Honestly a assassin should not be able to 1v2. This means that if a support is giving the adc full support a single person should not be able to kill them.

However a team that has a diver or a way of making a pick on a a single champion is where the burst of a assassin shines. If you have a diver plus assassin they should be able to burst the adc. If you have a pick comp the assassin is able to add a ton of burst to that target quickly turning it into a 4v5.

A assassin is not a 1v5 carry. It's job in COORDINATION of their team is to eliminate a single champion to create a advantage.

Yes they should, if they're fed. Or at least it should be an uphill battle for the duo facing the assassin. Nowadays the support just presses one button and suddenly the assassin's combo is either stopped by a shield or they're CC'd to death by one obnoxious CC ability (LULU POLYMORPH REEEE).

While I do think that assassins shouldn't be able to solo the world, I do also think that the current state of supports, tanks and ADCs is just silly balance wise.

I wish I could cast shields strong enough to withstand a full Assassins combo kit.

I guess all they can do is cry sit in the corner and think about the unspeakable act of trying to kill one of riot's golden children, the adc. /s

it does though, if you fail to kill an adc 1v1 as an assassin you are actually trolling

now if there support is there, you're gonna have a bad time

So in your opinion an assassin should win a 1v2 by default just because he's an assassin? Even when the support's entire role is to protect and peel his team mates?

Only assassin mains will cry about how they cant yolo 2 people alone and call it unbalanced when they die. If you play assassin decision making and knowing when to go in is part of your skill expression, if you cant catch people by yourself wait for your team/frontline to engage and occupy the support's/carry's attention while you go in.

I have no sympathy for your cause when your biggest arguement for buffing assassins is "i tried to run at 2 people and didnt kill them instantly, surely the game is wrong and not my decisions"
