When can you say that you're "good" at League?

Not great, not just average, but good.

At what rank are you not "bad" at the game anymore, to the point where someone below you in rank might look up to you for pointers or the like.

I hear a lot of people say Platinum, high Platinum, Mid Diamond, and High Diamond. I'd like to think that the cutoff is Gold, because I feel like I know what I'm doing, but what do I know, I'm Gold.

I happen to think that once you can hit Platinum, you're pretty much a god, a minor god compared to Diamond 1 and up but a god nonetheless. Once you can make Platinum, you're very good.

I mean if you define good in the traditional manner (above average) Mid-gold would be it. From my experience ( Highest I've hit was D3 ) I believe D3 is the cut off line where people are mechanically stable and have decent understanding of the game itself.

I've been climbing back in to diamond (I quit league for a while and decayed to plat 5, currently p 1), and I can see a lot of the people not understanding lane matchups, the importance of vision, importance of grouping and understanding power spikes etc; simple example of such is your typical plat adc; they usually forgo grouping for more farm in their own lane, and end up losing map pressure as a result, or get caught out due to overstaying / overpushing without vision.
