Ill admit, i just started randomly pressing one of the 3 letters when i double did the q.

But yeah, that just about is what a ryzes keyboard looks like when in a fight.

I wonder how many reworks will it take them to realize that Ryze biggest issue is his ranged point and click 2sec root. If the range was actually shorter... But heck they'll give him true damage and even more damage

Do you have any idea how many point and click cc's there are in this game? Ryze's cc isn't even that bad. It's not exclusive to Ryze. You can actually auto attack (and maybe use abilities can't remember) while cc'd by him. The same can't be said for other types of cc. Ryze has TONS of counterplay in his kit. Meanwhile we have champs like Annie and Malzahar who just press 'r' and you die.

My issue is its range being way too long, I mostly play mage myself, always believed so. He should need to take some risks to land it, take a look at Annie for instance, Ryze can simply root a carry for afar and let his allies destroy him

To access the 2 second version, he has to use E and then W, which is 2 out of his 3 attack spells (not counting ulti which has no contribution into his combo) as well as messing up his combo pattern that centers around using W and E as separate buffers to refresh Q and gimp his DPS. So basically he has to choose between strong CC or DPS and never the 2 at the same time.

The default version of the W is a root that lasts 0.75 seconds.

Ryze's W also has a rather short range for a ranged spell, which is about the same range as Vlad's Q. So definitely not something to write homes about.

Ryze's issue is his R, his old W issue has been fixed eons ago when the 2 sec version is locked behind EW.
