Can we address non-ranked players?

I never really do ranked, and when I do; I never finish my placements because I rather not deal with the awful stress it is from climbing ranks.

However that said, why is it when players who don't play ranked are always matched with the lowest possible tier? I know it's hard to assess someone's skill if they just play for fun, however it gets irritating for me and a few friends whenever we deal with people who always treat every game like a ranked game. ( For example, dodging a premade duo of Jinx and MF bot. )

Can we address trying to make the game a little more enjoyable for those outside of ranked? Also, will there be a Clash where we don't need to go through placements first?

Deadly: In which case the issue is with how few ways riot divides their community across SR games. There's only a few queues for SR and the result is that all of the "practicing for ranked" players get lumped in with the "get my position" players in draft. But worse is that blind pick is made nearly unplayable, because high tier champions are exponentially more powerful than low tier champions in a situation which you can't counter-pick.

Well it is more of a personal problem, that needs to be adderessed. Ranked MMR has nothing to do with Normal MMR. So if you play with bad players in normals, that's where you belong. Plus don't forget some people don't take normals as any serious activity, so if you want somewhat serious play go ranked. It is purely your problem to treat ranked like you do. The best approach for playing ranked is ignore loss/win and focus on your own improvement.

And you can't do much about it even as Riot. Like what exactly do you want to change and how ? You have mute to ignore them if they flame, system has penalty for dodging games and flaming, so it is already discouraged behaviour. Plus again don't forget other people also want to have fun. So if they feel like they won't have fun with Jinx-Mf bot-- they dodge. And you can't really say they are wrong if you look at this way.

I don't understand what you're saying with this. Do you mean that you're frequently matched with bronze and silver players? (and I guess iron now too) Because unranked does already have a background MMR style system of some kind. Even when you're in unranked you will be placed against people of some filtered experience or skill. It's not exactly clear how it's done, but it does appear to be more volatile and flexible than ranked.

Or do you mean this?

All of that. Yes.

I am confused, I don't play ranked and I am not always matched against the lowest possible tier.

If you mean when you do play ranked it is because the mmr of the queues are seperate, so your normals don't affect ranked. If it didn't work like that then it would probably be abusable.

Mmr exists for normals. If your playing at a "gold level" in normals, you'll also be playing with others who are at a "gold level". Even in normals, you're facing people of your level. Clash doesn't require placements as is. It seems the problems you think are there don't exist. Lol.

So...you want competitive enjoyment...outside of competitive matchmaking?

I mean, you're asking for something you shouldn't get. Granted, there is normal ELO; it's not to the extent of Ranked, though, because rank doesn't exist. You can't have ranked matchmaking if there are no ranks. You only get matchmaking.

You can't have competitive systems in a casual game mode. It's one or the other lol
