League of Legends finally made me decide my career.
...And it's art and music.
I, ever since I was around 8, was obsessed with music. I always fell asleep with the radio on and loved every single song that came on.
During my pre-teen years, I got into gaming; especially Visual Novels and JRPGs. In fact, I'm madly addicted to the Hyperdimension Neptunia and Pokemon series to this day. But it wasn't only the gameplay which attracted me to it, but the music as well. I fell in love with video game music, especially retro-ish as well.
My heart broke when I heard me and my family had to move from America to The Netherlands. It kinda broke me. But I didn't have any friends back then so I guess it was okay.
My years around now, I've gotten into League of Legends. Although my brother told me the game is trash and its community would eat up my innocent soul, I didn't care. The game was fun, the community... well... This is EUW we're talking about. XD
But the art and music was breathtaking.
What login screen was it which lead me into this game?
Poppy, The Keeper of the Hammer.
Her gameplay at the time was so so SO fun, you were just a little titanium nugget who could CC lock one person with a combo then walk away at 45% health.
But the login, the music and the design... Breathtaking.
But nothing made me more sure to write this than Nunu & Willump's login and Odyssey Sona's splash.
This art and music and the vibes they portrait... I know I want to do this. I wanna make people feel emotion and sadness, but hope from a few notes or make someone feel awed and belittled by just art.
Whoever does the art and music for you guys... before I die, I must meet them. I swear.
So I'm going to become an artist and producer so soon in my life I can finally compose with my idols I love.
Thank you, Rioters. And be safe on the Rift.
