I'm getting really sick of losing games to off-role players feeding because splash is worthless

Can we please cancel this season and restart it without this fucked up system?

I just had a Diamond player queued for middle primary/top secondary. They got top lane and picked Camille (who they have never played, ever), told us they didn't care whether they won because it wasn't their main role, and proceeded to feed their ass off. They ended the 21 minute game 3-12-6, with 54 CS. Their punishment for losing the game for the rest of the team is an amazing -4 LP to their main role. This is quite literally nothing. I get +26-30 LP per win on my main role.

I'm consistently losing games because of this bullshit, and it's really fucking stupid. The splash is so meaningless that nobody cares about the outcome of the game on anything but their main role.

This abortion of a system needs to be removed

Next game, our support is auto-filled and picked Kha'zix, and is now joking about how they're going to feed because it doesn't impact their main role.

It's fucking amazing that anyone could design this system and not see it being abused this way.

There's not an automated check for feeding, except in the most extreme of circumstances (Such as being thrown out immediately at zero deaths or being pretty much autoaccepted at a death a minute).

"Not trying" is neither 0 deaths nor 30, so there is no automated system for that.

Reporting them won't do anything because 'lol just a Diamond player having a bad game with an off meta pick!!!'

There needs to be actual punishment in the form of rank loss for losing, regardless of whether it's your main role. -4 LP is not enough of a motivator.

But if you never do this, then you win the same number of games from it that you lose, more if you count when your lane opponent is filled. Lower game quality though until those players drop in mmr in their filled lanes, which definitely sucks.
