we didn't have any plat 2 in our team, instead we had a Silver and a Gold, who got destroyed.

It's not even allowed to duo with a Silver as a plat player.

Tundra Hunter1 votesYeah I think this is how is work, but this hidden MMR sounds way too flexible to me. I play in plat since season 4, and if I have a win streak, my MMR (owing to op.gg) will be low diamond, if I have a loss streak, my MMR will be Silver. In just a few games. My "true" MMR is around plat 3 though... since season 4... so it feel weird when MMR drop or climb so fast, and often creates broken match-making, either way
Mysticman891 votesI actually get a really good vibe when I chance upon relatively low ranked (as in 1+ tier difference) players in my solo/duo ranked games, since it almost always means it's some smurf with a crazy winrate and hence the mmr to be in the match.
Looking up the player in question, they do have like a 60%+ winrate overall, and pretty decent winrates on a few other champs, so they're probably not in they're preferred role. They were duo'd with the adc though, who seems to be far better on trist/sivir than ashe.
Tundra Hunter1 votes60% winrate....... over 25 ranked game. doesn't mean much. Maybe the system want you so hard to be at 50% winrate that if you're 60% winrate in your 20 first games, it will start matching you with 2 tier above. Well, okay... but not for other people promo please =)
Makior721 voteswell its simple really, see riot tries to fuck you as hard as they can every time you are in series or promos. sometimes its "oh this guy afk's a lot, lets put him on YOUR team" but this time it was "hmm, this guy is a solid 2 tiers below you, he should definitely be on your team"
