I missed the logic behind the Warwick change...

"Warwick's early dueling and clearspeed allows opponents few opportunities to fight him in the early-mid game, and also secures him a gold/experience advantage against most junglers. Dialing that back should help him feel more fair to play against, but he'll still be strong early."

Base stats ATTACK DAMAGE 66 ⇒ 63

Q - Jaws of the Beast TARGET'S MAXIMUM HEALTH DAMAGE 6/7/8/9/10% ⇒ 6/6.5/7/7.5/8%

So. Warwick early is too strong. Let's nerf his early. Wait.... Isn't that nerf to his late, keeping the same numbers at rank 1?

Second points in q comes at level 4. from 7 to 6.5, what a change. Early and mid are the same. But yeah, late is nerfed.

And late was already weak... as you say yourself, the early is the issue. You say it... but your changes are unrelated. ? I missed the logic there.

"i dont have to play the game to know how to balance it" OMEGALUL

TBH, I only keep one point in Q and focus points into W and E first. Yeah, the change for the Q is a bit...contradicting. I don't think the balance team were actually thinking there.

Honestly, Warwick is now broken. His early is still oppressive as it was before this nerf, but now his max rank q is the weakest % health damage ability of the entire game. (unless you build full AD / full AP, as it has good scaling. But that's for yolo normal games). He will be frustrating to play against, to play with, or to play. His winrate / banrate will probably stay similar, but now, you either snowball early by perma-ganking over-extended lanes, or you die slowly as late game is weak. Enjoy being a ward for 20 minutes every late game, whether you snowballed or not.

Warwick q, from 16% health damage (before rework), to 10% after rework, to 8% with the nerf. 8%, for a melee fight ability. weaker that titanic active. similar to BORK on-hit against full health target. equal to 2 proc of bloodrazor. But it's not an item aa passive you can proc 2 every second from range... it's a melee ability with 6 CD cooldown.

Considering how a) Q is frequently maxed second, and b) percent health damage already tends to be more effective later in the game, nerfing Warwick's Q percent health damage per rank doesn't seem to make much sense with respect to the rationale given. I agree that Warwick needs/needed a nerf, and the reduction to his base AD is definitely likely to help with his strong early game, but if the intent was to nerf his early Q damage, why not reduce its damage at rank 1? Why not nerf his base AD more or his level 1 on-hit damage instead? This is the kind of disconnect between text and changes that makes me question the descriptions in the patch notes, as many of them seem like they were written long after the changes were decided, and so purely to retroactively justify them, rather than properly explain the thought process that led to their implementation.
