Can't get a decent team in B1

Blåbæret··2 votes·455 views

Check my last two matches. http://matchhistory.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/EUW1/223756830

I shut down the jungler early in both games, tell my team to buy pinks and not feed the Evelynn, they feed her anyway. Mid-game they start throwing and dying. Ez died face checking the jungle like 7-8 times. In the last game I told the Orianna to put the ball on me, not even once did she manage to hit R. I did a few bad calls as well overall in those games, but in the end I didn't have a team. Seemingly stuck in B1, can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Keep going at it man. There's not many tips we can give but these are pretty important for anyone

-Play your best champ don't worry about counters unless it's something you are confident you'll make the enemy laner a feeder -don't say anything to team mates when they die

-give bottom lane a SHIT ton of attention. Doesn't matter where you lane, make sure you go wreck the enemy adc before they wreck yours and your win rate will go up.

-this part sucks but give your team mates kills. B1 players aren't the worst, they lack confidence and can't play from behind but give them a little gold and most of them will show you some ounce of skill

The last two are most important and unless you are good at hard carrying and can take at least 2 people down with you you're gonna lose if you're only one with gold.

What? If anything, you should take all kills possible before gold league. The exception to this rule is if you're playing a tank or support.

@OP - I think you're playing too defensive with your builds. And I don't really prefer shyvana to carry bronze. She isn't great at snowballing other people early, and in bronze/low silver people get in "feed" mode so quick if they're put behind early while their jungler is farming. That said, if you're dead set on playing her, at least replace ghost with exhaust so you can duel better. Exhaust+red smite means you can out-deal anyone, even people more fed. And go with a more aggro build. It's okay to start tank or attack speed jungle item, but after that you should go with aggro items. The purpose of building tank is for more team oriented games, aka diamond+.

Appreciate it guys. What champs do you recommend for snowballing? I've done fairly well on Diana, but she needs lvl 6 and there's a good chance my team has already started feeding by then.

I do amazing on Nocturne, but that's also just personal preference. You can actually build him full attack or nearly full attack and get away with it since you can just pick out lone people. Check my match history to get an idea for how you should be building.

FYI I'm only s2 right now, but I also started this season TERRIBLE after not playing for almost a year. I started something like 15-40, and I'm just about back to a 50% win rate. You'll notice I build 3-4 offensive items on nearly every champ I play. In lower elo there's no reason not to. Being able to pick off the other team's strongest players is probably the best way to play. For example, last game my top laner got owned really hardcore by a yasuo. I even fed a kill when I tried to help, but then when I finished my phantom dancer I came and started farming their yasuo, then moved on to farming their azir who was their next fed carry. It obviously isn't always as easy as that, but at this elo people really don't play smart so there's almost always opportunities to pick out squishies with noct ulti, and thanks to the spellshield and fear you can usually chunk them under 20% health before they can even attack back ;)

You clearly love shyvana so I'd say just switch up your build some with her. Go a more aggro build and if there's nothing to gank you can take dragons, shove turrets, or farm the enemy jungle. With exhaust+red smite you can 1v1 pretty much anyone :)

Thank you, mate. I've tried exhaust + red smite and it works pretty well against Yi! I'm on a losing streak though, and I just can't seem to win. It's just lost. My teams are always so incredibly bad that it's not even close, the individual skill level of my teams are far below that of the enemy. I agree that there's always room for improvement, but this strikes me as odd considering getting from B3 to S5 last season was incredibly easy, now I can't even get out of B1. In normals I have no problem getting decent teams.
