Let's conveniently forget the toxic shitpool that was the old champion select.

Or that the lastpick was doomed to be support or troll.

Or the "dodge-duels" when two people get on their balls so hard they both lock in án obvious troll-pick to make the other leave first.

I'd rather have a game of fill for that occasionally, thanks.

All because you don't wanna support one in ten games or so. Guess what, in the old system you would be forced to support way more due to being last pick. And filling as a support in a while is not so hard really, even if you are not dedicated support player. You are a toplane main? Take your cc-heaviest tank! Hell, back in the days I even made Seju or Sion support work, it's not much different from toplane mostly. You are a midlane main? Pick your cc/utility mage and get to harrass! You are a jungle main? Great, now you know exactly when and where the ganks will come and what supports make it suport hard for you usually.

Seriously, people act like they had to learn totally new champs for support, which is totally wrong in most cases.

Filling is not hard. And it's definetly easier than having to deal with the toxic shitload that was the old champion select.
