How will Pyke interact with Stoneplate? (And why it's important)

As you probably already know, Pyke's passive converts bonus HP into AD.

Stoneplate's active is capable of doubling your HP. Since Pyke doesn't get bonus HP, it will be converted to AD instead. "But it also reduces damage done by 60% - the bonus AD it gives won't be worth the offset!", you ask.

Well, Pyke's ult is an execution. The threshold scales on level and... yes, you guessed it right, AD. Pyke will be able to pop Stoneplate before ulting, gaining about 177 AD at level 18. That will tremendously increase his execution threshold.

Any thoughts on the matter?

You're talking about Gargoyle Stoneplate, not boneplate. Boneplating is a rune.

So I actually think I figured it out. Right now, Stoneplate will only give health and not ad to Pyke. With Cinderhulk, I presume it is a bug, but the 15% bonus health actually gives Pyke some bonus health off items, as well as adding a little more ad than normal from that health. Even with actual bonus health from the cinderhulk, the Stoneplate when activated, will not give bonus ad so the item is probably bugged. However, the health that you gain from Stoneplate Knows the difference between base health and bonus health, so that even if it did trigger, you would only be gaining around 40-50 AD off the cinderhulk bonus. The Conversion % would not be multiplied by the entire amount of health you receive from the stoneplate to begin with. The other thing is, even if it was the entire amount of health Stoneplate gives you, Pykes hp to ad conversion rate is about 7.2%. Your ult would not deal as much hitting the stoneplate active than with AD items. The other thing is, if they fix the cinderhulk bug, then I believe there will be no way to give Stoneplate any bonus health to convert into x2 ad since all the other item's bonus health goes towards AD and are not part of your health in the first place.

I believe the active on stoneplate is considered a health modifier and does not count as bonus health, which is why he gets HP and not AD from the active.

On the wiki it says the passive converts all bonus HP to AD, but health modifiers do not convert. It's all in the wording.

ie. +100% health = health modifier (GS active)

vs

+300 / 450 / 600 (+ 50% AP) bonus health = bonus health (Lulu ult)

Seriously.

After the whole Cho'gath situation (which, still hasn't been fixed) I had hoped Riot had learned something.

I wonder how it would work with overgrowth and grasp then? or do those not count as bonus stats?

I saw a Reddit comment that said that stone plate actually did give him more HP instead of more AD for the duration. Not confirmed, but I don’t think someone would lie about that for no reason.

It gives you ad, around 180.
