Hey Riot why can Yasuo Ult when he is Rooted?

Almost all other champs can not use abilities that move them when they are rooted, and yet Yasuo can Ult. Why?

He needed more reasons to be an insufferable prick.

Because he's Riot's golden boy and they will never do anything substantial to him or Yi no matter how many people ask them to. Same reason the same five or six champions mentioned as needing nerfs never get them, too many players blocking it.

FreakishMovie

Kek. Imagine thinking Yasuo is broken, even with a 48% average winrate.

Theorex7 votes

Imagine thinking Ryze is broken when he has a 44% winrate. Oh wait, Riot and every single other player in the world thought so. So you can literally get the fuck out of here with your bullshit.

Mortismo1 votes

because yasuo is oppressive in high elo and pro play? LMAO get the fuck out of here...

Stats litterally dont lie. Low play rate in LCS and mediocre winrates across all elos

Theorex1 votes

OH RIGHT BECAUSE RYZE'S 36% WIN RATE IN PRO PLAY WAS MAKING HIM BROKEN AF. HIS 36% WIN RATE WITH HIS 90% PLAY RATE. REAL FUCKING BROKEN.

You want to get a into a dick measuring contest about who was really fucked? Ryze vs Yasuo.

Ryze, had his point click snare and his shields removed while having a avg of 44% win rate up until master+. Where it goes up to about 50-60, and up to 65% in challenger.

While in the pro scene he had a prescene of 90% but a Win Rate of 30-40%.

You're right. Stats don't lie. Give me my shields back, my point click Snare back, my 100% E scaling on E back, and ulti zhonya's back.

OH WAIT? EVERYONE IS SAYING RYZE IS BROKEN AND OP. Even THOUGH HE HAS A 44% WIN RATE. WOW! WHAT DO YOU MEAN!? STATS DON'T LIE. RYZE HAS NEVER. NEVER BEEN BROKEN. EVER.

So you really want to get into a dick measuring contest about what champion always get fucked by Riot? Go ahead and cry a fucking river, Riot protects fucking Yasuo like its their jobs. While every other fucking champion out there gets absolutely destroyed for not being named Lux, Ahri, Yasuo, Zed, etc. Don't try to do this bullshit when a Ryze main is around, we will fucking tear you a new one. We have had the shit end of everything for 2+ years now.

Ryze in his latest iteration (by that I mean, after the introduction of his team teleport R and defined combo mechanics in his QWE), his problems have always been his double-scaling making him do too much damage, and his R being too much of a wild card if it's in any viable state.

So logically speaking, Riot should've tackled those 2 elements to fix him, right? WRONG.

Riot touched just about everything apart from those 2 problematic components, which they're determined to keep them good for some reason.

You'd think after what, 7 reworks or something, Riot should've learned the lesson now that Ryze's problem centers on his double-scaling and later, his ulti. But I guess not. They'd rather keep on over-committing resource on a single champion dancing around the problem than simply fix the obvious.

imagine thinking Lux, Ahri, Yasuo and Zed are some of the best champions in 2019. people in LCS play akali and sylas over those champs you mention because they are way better

its definitely a bug, because i know Cassiopeia miasma can stop yasuo from ulting, and its functionally the same as a root when it comes to interactions like this.

albiet it was almost 3 years ago the mechanic never changed: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/EsHk0MO4-canshould-cassiopeia-grounding-ground-a-yasuos-ult?show=flat&comment=0003

Can he? Its most likely a bug, then. Though, im pretty sure if a camille begins her E, even if she is rooted if it makes contact with a wall she dashes to it, but shes stuck there for the 1 second (or until the root ends), so it may be intentional

but thats also a amachine which she pulls herself with which makes sense in terms of yasuo hes talking about being rooted but still being able to use his ult while i root not he gets rooted mid ult and also i think his ult is more like a teleport its not an actual movement he just starts at point a and instantly ults at point b

That's a common thing for all champion. If you start casting an ability, then it cannot be interrupted. Except channeling skills. Such as Nunu, and Kata ult.

Most often example i see this is Lux ult. Once started to cast the Soraka silence will not help. Also i saw this on Tristana jump, and Kayn dash. Once casting started it cannot be interrupted in any way.

With a huge exception being dashes which can be interrupted by displacement (though other forms of CC doesn't have any effect other than CC'ing the target when they finish their dash)

yay nibbers1 votes

Yasuo's is actually the exception to this. His dash can be stopped by roots and stuns where usually they do not.

Urgot E in to Yasuo E guess what happens

Yasuo E's though Urgot and Urgot takes damage and Yasuo is NOT CCed and does NOT take damage.

Naut's Q, Camille's E and Thresh's Q after he hit smth aren't innitial dashes, they are pulled and are thereby able to move. Camille can't cast the second part of her E, because it's a dash.

Camille's thing is coded like Jarvens. The move itself doesnt move her, its the interaction with terrain. Stupid, but that's the logic for it.

Yasuo's Ult is a Placement Ability, he needs to places himself. And what do Root's do? They _**freeze **_you in a _**place **_and _**prevent **_you from moving.

Having him ulti the enemy team that is a mile away from him while rooted removes the whole purpose of roots, and would make that CC utterly useless against him -

WAIT WHAT?

HE CAN ULTI WHEN ROOTED?

why does yasuos ult never place him in tower range? if he would be in tower range, he just gets "glitched" into the other champ. literally everything yasuo has is in his favor. EVERYTHING.

Same reason yi was able to use is q while he was stunned in a game I just played. Before anyone says “he used q before you used your stun” the word stunned literally popped up above his champion.

Almost every skill in the game has a slight delay between when you hit the button and when the skill goes off called a cast time (or at least I call it that). If you are hit by a CC during this time your skill still goes off, even if you can't start using that skill after you get hit by them.

Also, because it takes time for the server to receive inputs from everyone and then send what happened to all of the players there can be slight discrepancies between what you see and what actually happens because the game is trying to predict what will happen in a few milliseconds.

Yi's cast time on his Q was recently removed for being too confusing to his players on top of the already disorientating "I was in Alpha" bug that's in all untargetability spells. The move was made more or less in acknowledgement of the "I was in Alpha" problem in attempt to reduce Yi players' frustration that they feel like they're often getting hit when they shouldn't (as it used to be that Yi players often get hit during the completely unconveyed cast time that many don't even know the existence of, as well as the bug that hits through untargetability; and if they get CC'ed during cast time his Q would still go off but Yi would finish Q while already in the state of being CC'ed and then die instantly which many player may perceive as a sudden lost control of their character).

In this case that Yi's Q now goes off instantly, Yi casting Q after being stunned has to either be a bug, or the guy who proclaims it either was seeing things or they lied and it never happened.

Uhh, he can't?

Outside of a bug, there is no reason for yasuo to be able to ult after getting rooted

hell, I have thousands of games with yasuo and I don't think I've ever been able to ult while rooted.

Dunno why you're being downvoted. If he ults while rooted it's a bug lol.

I hate Yasuo as much as anyone else but it's just a fact that he cannot normally ult if he's unable to flash or E etc

Because the game is bugged. I guess riot, instead of fixing the wall bug, just gave Yasuo some compensation [sg-miss-fortune]

Since we are talking about this: Graves Camille JarvanIV

The way root abilities work is kind stupid rigth now. They should not disable abilities they should prevent the affected target from moving (e.g. you can cast Amumu Bandage Toss it will deal damage but you are still locked in place). Also they should interrupt dashes like Ahri charm or Veigar cage does.

Also this should only work for Yasuo if you hit him during the animation phase (like Ezreal´s blink) but the time window is kinda short. Still should not be a thing.

Light Burner1 votes

clip pls

Zed genius1 votes

Do you have proof to that? It is probably a bug because you definitely can't ult when rooted (e.g. lux Q). Unless you mean AFTER he has ulted and you want it to cancel the ultimate mid animation? Then it's because roots don't work like that.

Cheini1 votes

cast time and ping people

ofc, if he can ult at any point, probably it has something with the unstoppable buff or yeps ;d

FSRER1 votes

It is a long known bug which apparently became a unofficial part of his kit like Hecarim's E bs or Riven animation cancel on Q
