Every time im forced to go mid i just pick ahri and there is no fucking way i will lose my lane (win either, but i cant play her at all). insanely safe champion, and i mean INSANELY, and im d4

This is exactly what I dislike about Ahri

Yes, and people with 125+ games with her apparently play worse than those with 50-125 games with her. 8/8 quality website would downvote again

Considering the one-trick ponies with lots of games on a single champion tend to be in higher elo, that actually makes sense.

Nice summoner name btw.

And the people playing Ahri for the first time are typically very low elo aka bronze/silver, where everything is op and people get reported for playing noobchamps. But whatever, keep thinking Ahri is op with her huge 4% ban rate.

Yeah I like my name too.

The reason Ahri has a low ban rate right now is the rise of the very oppressive juggernauts (most if not all of them have a 50% over ban rate), and also a slight lack of knowledge about them from the community. Her pick/win rate ratio is just silly. Also, isn't the fact that first-timers play her in low elo and do well even more evidence that she is reasonably easy to play?

Be honest and unbiased with me, do you not think she needs slight number nerfs or damage shifts at the very least?

EDIT: thanks for not being a silent downvoter and actually taking your time to discuss with me, makes these threads worthwile.

It's not just the juggernauts that are banned. While they are stupidly op and deserve to be banned more than any other type of champion, on champion.gg's top 10 most banned list I see Fiora, Gangplank, Yasuo, Rengar, Vayne and Diana. I won't deny that Ahri is a strong champion. She has a very safe laning phase, offers lots of utility with charm/rylais, cleanup potential with ult, aoe damage and high burst. Fits in pretty much every team comp because she is a mage/assassin/support hybrid. However she is not without weaknesses; her early game is extremely poor, little to no lane presence other than a Q that you will (realistically) throw only every 15-20 seconds because of her bad mana pool. She also is mostly skillshot based and slightly falls off in the lategame compared to most other mages such as Orianna. The reason why she has a high winrate in low elo is because her ult is a get-out-of-jail card. If you screw up, ult away, and nobody in low elo will realize that Ahri now has no mobility or kill potential for 110 seconds. But, just like Katarina, her effectiveness decreases exponentially the higher you get in the ladder as gold+ players can actually exploit ability cooldowns and understand who to CC in a fight. If she had to suffer a damage shift, I would transfer some of her W's damage to Q and lower Q's mana cost. Then she would be even more skillshot based.

I wouldnt lower Q mana cost, you'd be overcompensating at that point. I'd also shift more over to E than Q to prevent constant poke during laning phase.

My problem with her is safety. Even in a matchup which is bad or even if your enemy is competent and makes 0 mistakes, you can still just farm up and R away whenever there's danger. It's hard to get Ahri in a place where it's do or die. Watch the FNC vs SKT game where Febiven plays Ahri and Faker plays Cassio to see what I mean.

Her win rate is EXTREMELY flat from silver to master tier, (all around 53%) and actually drops quite a bit in bronze.

Its true - after getting carried by here overloaded kit for 125 games, your MMR is inflated so much that you began to loose more.

Most champion's follow that trend.

The only change Ahri needs is the MS off her Q, no compensation required. Then, you can punish her to hell and back before 6 when she has no mobility. Clear weakness, clear strengths. If she is still too strong after that, adjust her mana costs.

People simply need to realize skill shots=/=difficulty, it simply means lower reliability in some cases due to being able to flash/dash away from them and human error. In general skill shots are typically better and easier to use in a general case than targeted abilities due to extra range, vision not being a factor as targeted abilities can easily be canceled even mid animation/sound with .1 second loss of vision, they can be used while running away even when their target is out of range because they'll walk into it, etc.

She is a safe champions to play. It's hard to lose lane and/or feed with her if you're at all competent. I'm quite sure that the plat+ players that champion.gg gets their data from are more than capable of playing Ahri (and many other champions) with some degree of proficiency, even on their first few ranked games (those people with less than 10 games could've played her lots in normals, there's more to League than solo-q).

Oh yeah, win rates...

Then gut Annie because her win rate is higher than Ahri by like 0.4 so OBVIOUSLY you have to do it
