Kha'six e rebalance

Thinking about an E change that would allow kha'six to regain some power on his q-w-r. The main problem with kha'six has always been his resets, his damage isn't actually particularly high unless he's fed and you're isolated, so i think fixing his e would be key to allowing him viability.

New E: Once evolved, whenever kha'six gets a kill he gains a small leap (the leap range is that of the original leap, before evolving), that can be used for 3 seconds after the kill/assist is gained

Think this would allow some rebalancing of his other abilities so he wouldn't be a useless bug that gets executed in the jungle half of the games you see him.

thought?

So nerf Kha'zix to give him viability?

I think you're misunderstanding the point of the post, it was not to give a full rebalance of kha'six, but an idea as to how to nerf his pentakill potential in a way that allows him to be relevant without being overpowered.

Basically nerfing E in this manner, I think is necessary so he can have his other abilities buffed.

Ah. This makes much more sense to me. I apologize for the misunderstanding. However, I think you may have taken the wrong direction with the Leap nerf(?). You stated yourself that Kha'zix's damage output is lacking unless a target is isolated, so maybe instead of a reset tilted towards kill in succession, maybe a leap that has longer range and passively reveals isolated enemies? Or maybe the leap has said passive, but can jump really long ranges onto isolated targets, say 150% of current evolved E's range.

The problem with that is that in order to make his kit less toxic, he needs to have less "free pentakill" potential, just like katarina, his resets make for a champion that is directly toxic when ahead. So i think changing the way he gets resets to something less toxic, but still impactful. Also a leap that only really functions versus isolated targets would be really weird to play with, because you as a player cannot really do anything about whether you get a long or a short leap, it becomes random how well you can do in teamfights.

The problem with a lot of assassins in the jungle is that they have to take kills/resources from their team in order to not be irrelevant in the late game.

This causes lanes to not snowball as hard, as they would if the jungler were a champ like Lee or jarvan

Assassins in the jungle are awesome in yolo queue though, because it means you can carry your team, rather than relying on laners that may or may not be competent. so rebalancing them to be viable would be nice.
