Can someone tell me why one of these is an issue and the other isn't

I've noticed recently that with Tank Ekko's rise in popularity, many people hate the fact that he has an AOE stun (though it's telegraphed and quite hard to hit correctly). Annie also has this both as a point and click spell, and an AOE ult-nuke that can still stun, and is instant-casted. Why do people only have only have a problem Ekko's stun?

because they are retards... Ekko is so hard to land his q return and his w on someone and if you hit your ult they are just slow, people just like to complain about newer champs who has a high skill ceiling so they are good but just claim its noob champ, and if you complain about Annie, no one will pay attention

Hahaha yeah i sometimes think this too. Ekko has never been an easy champion to play. I'm lvl5 on him and I still have a lot to learn. I play him as an assassin though.

I played at least 25 plus games with him and still learning what walls that I'm allowed to go threw and other tricks

Ekko has the second longest stun in the game- Annie's stun is instant, but it is also shorter.

Yeah I also made sure to know how long each characters stun lasted. I can see how each might be more or less dangerous in some situations than others.

if he somehow gets you in the stun then he deserves it, it takes 3 seconds to prepare it so its basically a lucky guess if you get it

Mobility

Mobility is the key to making a tank too op and ekko has a lot of it (not to mention a rewind ult which provides a large heal and more mobility)

That's definitely understandable. I was just curious, but thanks for your input.

Not a problem ^-^

I haven't actually experienced this tank ekko surge recently (haven't played much over spring break) but I can only imagine how strong it could be

Annie would be a pretty weak champion with little to offer if she didn't have her stun, it's a huge part of her kit and Annie trades a lot of things to have it. She's slower and has lower range than most mages, and her CC still has down-time if she tries using skills to CS.

Ekko would still be a solid champion without his stun.
