Why does armor rune only give 6 when MR gives 8?

And adaptive force gives 9?

It should just give 9 for all of them, the cost efficiency of each stat is nearly the same so why does the armor rune give 33% less in terms of gold efficiency than the damage option?

i miss getting 21 armor @ level 18 with runes. i still play like I have it. so squishy its a joke

Armor in general has more value than MR, especially very early in the game.

MR is limited to just reduce damage you take from enemy champions. Meanwhile armor also decreases the damage you take from minions and tower shots.

Armour is something you get a lot of as you level up, MR, not so much, which makes MR a much more valuable stat. Highest 18 Armour/18 Magic Resist - 130/60.3

There have been lots of complaints about adaptive force being more gold efficient than the defensive rune options (especially health).

Guessing it is because the less resistances you have the more mitigation each additional point does, making the armour/MR stat shards surprisingly efficient.)

Maybe not though, the popularity of stat shard choices is pretty lopsided in favour of double adaptive force versus double defensive tmi.

Seriously, if riot are making all tanks unviable, at least rework all of them into assassins.
