Daily Reminder That Vayne Needs Some Balancing

No seriously, someone tell me how to play against a Vayne.

The only argument that I've ever heard is that her early game sucks... Which doesn't matter much, considering she has a dash plus a push back plus a stun to keep you from ever actually going in on her.

Didn't see much of her for a few months, but now that the age of tanks seems to be coming back I'm starting to see a lot more of this annoying bitch. She can keep her true damage, percent scaling health attack... She just really shouldn't have the mobility / self peel that she does.

Vayne, like most marksmen, is shut down incredibly hard by crowd control. If properly focused, she doesn't stand a chance. Her biggest weakness is her inability to do anything outside of her auto-attack range; if you can zone her off, she can't touch you.

CC, or counter her directly in lane with Caitlyn (who counters all short-ranged AD). Cait has the highest range in the game, and you simply harass her for free. If she rolls at you, she's now used her escape and you can engage on her with your support.

Caitlyn actually isn't that great of a counter to Vayne IMO. All that Vayne needs to do is not get extremely behind. Once Vayne hits level 6, she can win an all-in against caitlyn if she hasn't been poked down extremely hard. What I do in this matchup is take krugs if they're up for grabs, then farm under turret till level 6ish. If backs occur, a second dorans helps, but cutlass and boots are best. Since you're letting them push, junglers can gank pretty easily. Let the jungler come/let the support do the right thing, then proceed to all-in caitlyn and kill her and win afterwards as vayne begins to get pretty strong once she has BORK, while caitlyn has a weak point at the same time (the midgame).

As ADCs, the ones I would label vayne's biggest counters are Jinx, Graves, and Draven.

Vayne's biggest weakness isn't her weak early game, although she can be punished extremely hardly in her early game. Her weakness is that she has no ability to deal damage to anything outside of her autoattack radius. This means that against many champions, she will get into range of being damaged before she can damage them, and she'll often run into targeted ability range. Take annie for example, annie's q stun outranges vayne's autoattack radius, so vayne has major problems getting within range of her. Vayne is also very autoattack reliant, so champions like nunu and items like frozen heart are very effective against her.

Speaking as a Vayne main, here are some of the champions that piss me off the most: Annie Onhit stuns which outrange me and great burst, can zone me away from fights Cassiopeia All abilities outrange me, can't escape if she has rylais, in order to use my passive at all I'm vulnerable to her ult stun. Along with obscene damage. Fiora 2 Q dashes, movespeed increase, ult Katarina Extreme ontarget burst which hits through invis. Lissandra Malzahar Their ults make me cry. Pantheon Onhit stun, spears, good damage, blocks an autoattack. Noticing a pattern yet? Taric That stun has killed me far too often, those heals are a pain in the ass, and increased armor for every teammate? :c TwistedFate Hurray for stuns that are up every 6 seconds. ...do I need to explain this? Vladimir I deal % HP damage. He stacks AP and keeps healing up any damage I deal to him. Also outranges me with every single one of his abilities. Ryze All abilities on target which outrange me along with a snare for CC and gets damage from building frozen heart. ;-; Malphite Ult. Movespeed slow. Attack speed slow. Lots of armor. Cri.

Those are just the ones that seriously piss me off as Vayne, there are a ton of champions which can deal with vayne effectively and kill her, it's just that they're slightly less reliable/I've learned to deal with them.

Vayne is probably the champ that I dislike playing against the most because her damage can't be mitigated, so your only choices are to lock her down and kill her or not go near her. She does have plenty of counter picks though.

Vayne has a worse early, mid and lategame than Kog'maw and Jinx.

In lane or overall? Overall, build more damage heavy, and less tanky. Tank stats, aside from randuins and frozen heart, don't help a ton against her, but damage will fuck her up.
