....am I missing something about Orianna?

I don't know what to do with this girl.

Her passive says "Go in, use auto attacks" But then she gets flattened.

Her skills say "Stay back and use the ball!" but the range is so that she can't stay safe if she wants to harass.

In a world filled with zeds, azirs and ekkos mid... What does this mechanical chick got that doesn't make her the equivalent to an analog clock among digital?

skill level, just learn better positioning with her. shes a very strong pick once you learn where to position yourself with her and how to maneuver your ball...Basically a good tip is to position your ball to zone the enemy to a sweet spot where you want them..and if theyre stupid enough to move onto your ball or pretty close to it then let them have it.

So unless you build nashors/rageblade the auto part of her passive is designed to help with farm, not really combat. Also I would not ever recommend you build nashors/rageblade in ranked, in norms it's fun. Like someone else said, it's all about positioning, both with her and the ball, getting that down is the key to playing her well.

She has a respectable lane phase, transitions well to mid game, and has a strong late game. Those beautiful shields.

Specifically, her ult combo's incredibly well with a lot of champions. Rengar / Malphite / Thresh all make respectable ball carriers.
