Fervor of Battle or Deathfire Touch on Zed?

I would think Deathfire Touch is better on Zed, but I see so many others going Fervor of Battle. What do you guys think is better?

EDIT: For those of you wondering this is what my current mastery page is for Zed. I honestly think this is the best mastery page for him, but I haven't tried it yet. https://gyazo.com/ad153cb35ee0086e1ed66860e0c158b1

I was expecting Thunderlord's.

I don't know the shock doesn't seem useful for assassinating.

...why? It adds additional burst to your combo, while Deathfire does DOT (not useful for autoing) and Fervor needs you to auto attack repeatedly (not useful for assassinating).

Thunderlord's Decree is by far the best assassin keystone.

Because the DoT and your ult synergize very well together. I don't know why you say DFT is bad because it's not good with Autos, but then bring up Fervor and also say it's bad because it synergizes with autos. DoT will do more single target damage which is great for your mark and assassinating. The AoE is useless because it's a 30 second cooldown, and it's only 20% of bonus AD compared to the 50% on DFT.

I do see the DOT + ult synergy, yes, but I just feel like Decree does it so much better. You're right that the ratio on Decree is worse, but the base is 190 while the base on DFT is... 6. And generally I just think instant burst is better than DOT, particularly as a fed enough Zed doesn't need to wait for Death Mark to pop to kill his target.

Fervor I just don't like on casters, I'd go for either DFT or Thunderlord's for sure. But Thunderlord's has the advantage of being in the tree which contains flat pen, which is important to consider.

if you build zed with the botrk/youmuu core his AA are pretty important so I can see why people would go fervor

But I feel like the DoT on Touch is useful for the Mark and such, but I wouldn't know because I haven't seen what does more damage, I guess if you're consistently auto attacking then Fervor would do more damage, but you don't usually have to auto attack to do enough damage.

Go cunning. As Zed you should always be assassinating ADCs, not tanks. If you are assassinating ADCs you should be going 12/18.

But you get more damage on Ferocity in my opinion that's better. Especially since the masteries in cunning don't fit to well with their long cooldowns. Thunderlord's Decree just doesn't seem that good in my opinion, and Stormraider's Surge seems useless considering Zed should have to position himself by running and should be using his shadows instead.

even if you have 300 bonus AD, you're only dealing 150 damage from deathfire grasp as a DOT. Meanwhile Thunderlords gives you 180 base damage alone + 20% AD scaling as upfront burst while Stormraiders isn't about escaping, it is about either ruthlessly chasing down a target that you bursted but didn't kill, or chaining kills to get a penta instead of being kited or being forced to run if you fail to 1 shot. You get 3-9 arpen with cunning while 7% arpen will never be stronger than 3-9 flatpen against a squishy. You also get access to all the useful masteries from Ferocity with 12/18.
