Why is Evelynn's suggested build full AP

even though she puts out more damage when full AD? Just tried it in the practice tool and DPS was consistently higher by at least 200 when full AD.

Try Lethality Evelynn with Trinity Force, lol. Can delete someone in a flash and do tons of damage after every other Q. Only problem is actually getting all the items, though it probably isn't that hard. I tried it in Blood Moon, it was super fun. The thing about Evelynn that's so good though is you can build practically anything on her. I'm guessing they just use AP as a starting point.

=p Seriously though, if you ever start popping off early try it out. Rush TF, then go into Duskblade, Yoummu's, EoK. You'll be obliterating HP bars.

Riot recently said they're not banning people for off meta at all anymore. Also, AD Eve isn't off meta. Eve can be built in a million ways and still be considered meta. she has bruiser builds, AD builds, AP builds. The build Dominick suggested even has other variations(for example you don't need nashors, you can substitute it for a gunblade for some healing in fights as well as the active has powerful burst, some use protobelt, etc). I remember one time when we had All For One we were vs some tank champion, can't remember who, and I built item 3153 item 3151 together just to experiment since she has good AD and AP ratios. It actually was a pretty nice combo.

Evelynn's sustained DPS is higher with AD.

Evelynn's burst is higher with AP.

AP tends to be better because Evelynn is one of the few assassins without an easy escape mechanism or a disable.
