I feel like there's two options for swain, because hes pretty damn weak (he's been out long enough)

  1. He can be made a bit more reliable (little faster E, maybe a slightly bigger E hitbox, little faster W)

  2. He can stay closer to a more juggernaut-oriented design and remain his clunky self, but his E needs to have 10-20% more AP ratio, and W should have 10-20% more AP ratio as well. Like most juggernauts, he'd be clunky, but if he does land his E it should hurt, if he does land his W, it should hurt, his R should also probably receive small damage increases, preferrably in scaling rather than base.

Maybe one thing that could happen regardless of which option is have the E expand in width by 25% on its return. But SOMETHING needs to be done for bird man, hes too clunky for how little damage he has.

I was thinking about this today, but I came up with some different buffs.

I think W is what could use some buffs. I realize that at high level play, it's already pretty useful, but at lower elos, I would bet it needs help. Couple of ways to try that.

One would be to decrease the delay to the hit, so he could use it a little easier. Another would be to lower CDR and/or mana cost. Another would be to increase the damage on it a bit.

The other abilities feel pretty good to me. W is the one that sticks out as kind of lackluster imo. If it were a little better, his kit would feel pretty good. I worry, though, that he may already be strong at high elo once people master him. You say it's been long enough, but there are well documented cases of pros taking months to really master a champ.

I can't personally speak for it but even at high ELOs, the objective steal/vision it grants seems like it doesn't make up for the fact that anyone with any reactions at all can walk out of it when it starts, and most high ELO players have amazing reaction times.

It needs to have 1/4-1/2 second shaved off the animation delay. That alone could be enough to fix him.

I more or less agree except in one respect: waveclear.

Swain's champion damage is fine. It is the fact that his Q/W were deliberately nerfed very hard against minions that bothers me.

Old Swain didn't have the best waveclear, but it was capable enough. Now I see a single full-health melee minion completely block a Q AFTER I have Rabadon's built.

That's just embarrassing.

Pushing is a big part of the game. It feels bad that he's been turned into such a terrible lane pusher.

TL:DR: Take a third of a second off the W and let it actually do full damage to minions and I bet Swain is a 50% winrate champion again.

I could go for that. Good points.

I didn't really think about his Q being tough against minions; it seems like it could be a fun mini-game to try to kill several, but I have noticed that it's rather difficult in a real game. Wouldn't mind a small damage buff against minions there, either. His waveclear is pitiful.

i think his W should have 5500 range like tf ult

it's so delayed and doesn't really seem to do much , also has a long cooldown....
