I understand that lee needs a buff, but I feel like if youre going to buff R

Tychusfindlay918··139 votes·4,246 views

You should buff scaling rather than base.

200 base damage increase is the kind of thing that makes heavy tank oriented lee builds stupid to face because he's going to be dealing prett hard-hitting damage while being hard to kill (his kit inherently makes him slippier as all hell as well).

I'd rather have lee invest in damage to deal damage than have high base damages.

i actually 100% agree with this...

I agree with this as well as a lee main. However, do understand Lee is primarily a fighter/diver, not an assassin nor a tank. With the removal of green smite lowering his overall ward count he is more like this than ever.

My personal opinion would be to change his E and R to have scaling off of total AD, rather than bonus AD. This allows him to retain his fighter characteristics, allowing him to be beefy without being a tank, forcing to build damage still without forcing him to build assassin items Lee likes CDR, but most AD CDR items are assassin items (barring Black Cleaver and Warrior) and one of his usual builds revolves around a beefier style already by building titanic and steraks.

tl;dr: We want him to be a diver/fighter as it will allow him to still be a threat and dive, as well as having some sustained fighting power without 100-0 squishies as an assassin.

Kosm1K4 votes

Of all the comments on here this one makes the most sense. Most fighters tend to have total ad scaling so that if they want to build damage they need to invest heavily in it, if not they'll still do decent damage while still managing to survive in fights and won't always delete the squishies

Sõna1 votes

It does make sense, but that is the blinkspot where Rioter won't never ever read this.

Champion Skin1 votes

It would also make item 3053 better on Lee though I don't think it is particularly relevant

Hibeki2 votes

Until Lee Q doesnt have 180% bonus AD plus 8% missing health on it, no buffs for lee.

Sick of a one item lee hitting me for 700 on his primary ability.

skoulker1 votes

Not true.

Shahamut13 votes

Agreed

Base damage on non-damage dealing classes is a big part of why tanks are so prominent and a major component to damage creep.

Lee has super good mobility and should thus have higher scaling to go with his playmaking.

The Kit will keep his play making ability a thing if he builds tanky, and he should be able to scale hard to carry if he builds damage. (and should thus die if he messes up his flashy stuff with no defenses.)

knowing riot they may just buff both, because we all know lee not being viable in the pro scene is unforgivable

oh no a champion with 2 dashes in their kit maybe having to actually target things they can see instead of infinite wards a high-burst champion with insane playmaking ability requiring more than the afterthought of "ward key + w"

Look, i get that all champs deserve their spot in the limelight but look at the champions who have tons of dashes. All of them suck to deal with if they're even slightly ahead, and lee is a harder snowballer than most, there's a reason that lee players in bronze and silver can rack up crazy kill pressure, he's got safety

He's still slippery, but he's not uncatchable anymore.

So we're forgetting minions, team mate champions, Q-ing over a wall to a jungle camp, the fact that he runs domination so likely Zombie Ward for longer times to abuse the wall crossing,

Also, "he can't ward hop" is ignoring trinket. You'll likely keep yellow trinket for the whole game for 2 stacks of wards. You can take Relic Shield and "tax" lanes while still giving your teammates the gold too, and getting wards in the process.

Now finally, When you hear "hyper mobile champion with tons of dashes" what do you often think? Yasuo, probably?

What makes the difference between him and lee? Lee bursts, Yasuo is a DPS. Both have many dashes, both are manaless (though lee uses Energy, if you're auto attacking anyone at all it's still better than a mana champ), Both have an ultimate that can temporarily hinder the enemy team's movement [Yasuo holds them, Lee knocks them up]

The difference is that lee requires moderation of your abilities. You cant smash them and win, you have to think before you press because every one of them costs 50 first cast and 30 second, with a 200 limit without ignoring auto attacks etc.

But herein lies the rub If you moderate your usage of abilities, you will be stronger than yasuo for early, and roughly equal for the rest of the game. And yasuo, coming from someone who played him a fair bit before diving into ranked, is pretty frickin' strong.

At this rate, i'm considering dropping Vi and abusing lee sin once this patch goes through because we all know riot's not gonna cancel their LCS pro playmaker's return to the spotlight XD

Right let me ALSO drop this on you

Ever heard of the Domination tree minor rune "Ingenious Hunter" which gives reduced item CDR? works on wards. HEAVILY lowers their costs Lee already takes electrocute

I doubt the zombie ward thing is true but if it IS, there's ALSO ing. hunter to cover up the weakness that lee holds

But you ignored it likely because everyone did

Clearly you do not play Lee at all. Lee sin is no longer even close to being meta and does not snowball as hard as others. Even a fed rammus is scarier than a lee sin.

I didn't say he was META, i said he's strong as hell. Any snowball carry can be OP if the circumstances are met, and currently it's easier than ever for a high pressure champion to get a first kill and snowball

Also, a fed ANYONE is scarier than an unfed anyone else. But i'd wager that a fed Lee is scarier, considering i've played my fair share of Rammus and fought my fair share of him too, and if you're going on an even playing field of-fuckin-course lee is going to win.

I'm a Lee Sin main. I know about ingenious hunter. Trackers was undoubtedly better because you could go a sweeper on your trinket and still have vision control. I didn't ignore it at all. You were talking about zombie wards and incorrect facts about them so that's what I commented on. If you mean everyone ignored it in you're post you're a retard because you didn't talk about it. If you mean Lee Sin players ignored it, we didn't some just prefer to take the other options (MS out of combat for lethality one shot potential, or Healing for dueling). I don't understand why you're being such a prick about a boards post you monkey.

First things first on this, if you want to have a debate instead of an argument, refrain from calling people "monkeys" and "retards"

Secondly, as far as i previously understood, Zombie wards were supposed to have the same behavior as Farsight wards, being able to take 1 hit, being visible, etc. with an exception that they couldn't be used to create another zombieward for anyone, however i took it into practice mode and you cannot click on the ward as an ally mate as i found.

Perhaps instead of resorting to flame like every league player does, maybe come out with a concise "They have a different AI and cannot be clicked" answer. You did close enough, but when i aknowledged it and mentioned that aside from zombieward there is ing. hunter, you assumed i was saying i had always been talking about it as well, whereas i was bringing it to light for the people here spectating and making comments to think on

Look before you leap, man.

BEHOLD ANY CHAMPION WITH A TARGETED DASH.

Honestly, by the logic of everyone who says that, then clearly, Let's ignoreeee...... https://gyazo.com/c827faa47c589f2a3814e5122c3e5698

All of those sound good?

Oh right and if lee's Q isn't on command because it's what's called an auto-targeted dash, according to the wiki itself, then these dashes technically don't exist either: https://gyazo.com/2cce5eefca0005f1f4cc5f272a15cf13

Although i will admit that a few of those (like Udyr's bear stance and Bard Tunnel) aren't quite correct, for just as many incorrect cases listed under those 2 there are other dashes much more identical to lee's under other catagories

Look, i get that you're probably defending a champ you like a lot, and i somewhat appreciate the fact you're getting out your opinion on the matter, but that doesn't make it a valid point

If neither your Q nor your W are available for any kind of movement whatsoever, you're not playing around your champion's kit properly & should probably pick up someone like Vi or Sejuani or, hell, even Camile, who can just smash their movement button to escape trouble, requirement free.

But saying that, because lee sin's dashes are gated behind even the tiniest requirements, they're not a problem WITH additional wards, is against logic entirely.

I hope he reads your comment someday bro you were well informed.

In the situation I was referring to I meant that Lee SIn doesn't just "get" 2 dashes, and I did not say that we should ignore them either. Lee's Q is a situational dash onto a target that was previously hit by his Q, his W requires an ally or ally ward to utilize. I'm not saying these dashes aren't worth anything or that they're hard to use, but there ARE times when they cannot be accessed, especially compared to any champion who's dash is actually on demand.

Whether anyone likes it or not, Lee's dashes require a small amount of resources and/or risks to use properly and THAT was my point, they aren't just free things he can use willy nilly, he needs to know what's around him and what's available to him. I'm not saying it's the most thought-provoking gameplay, but it does require more than anyone is giving credit for.

i see no reason to buff lee,he is already op as fuck for his mains and one tricks u buff him and he will be broken.btw why buff his damage?he lost mobility cuz of the item removal what does that have to do with damage?arent trinkets enough?

DorkunedAuras1 votes

Trinkets are very far from enough. Imagine having access to your mobility spell every 2 minutes. AND not being allowed to contribute to the vision game at all ever.

HarrisonOwns5 votes

Boohoo! I guess you'll have to use W for its intended purpose, and not exploiting it on wards.

Uyeeko3 votes

"He is already op as fuck" spits drink 47% winrate in plat+ after the removal of green smite is op as fuck? Interesting definition of op you have there

Yes, Lee Sin still has trinkets, but that doesn't mean removing green smite isn't one of the largest indirect nerfs to literally any champion EVER. I hate when people say "you still have trinket." Yes, I do, but that doesn't change the fact that they gutted the champion by removing green smite.

Ok sure but why2 votes

I've been saying this since the beginning of time: nerf base damage, increase scaling; it's the only way to keep tanks from shitting on every other class

WrÆth1 votes

While I agree that buffing R base damage is not the way to go, I don't see how buffing scaling is either.

If Lee is going to be pushed towards a more assassin/bursty playstyle then he is going to need greensmite back. If you notice, all assassins kits have 2 RELIABLE mobility/survivalist spells, or resets like khazix. The reality is that Lee can never be an assassin because half the time now without greensmite, if he goes in to burst someone he's pretty fucking boned being in the middle of 5 without anything to escape with.

Pæan1 votes

Shaco hmmm. ALL assassins?

Northwake2 votes

The invisibility and ult would both count imo.

Pæan1 votes

I'd say yes and no. Q (deceive) is mobility, while R (hallucinate) can add some extra survival, its still been so buggy that I get hit mid-cast. Cue the "I WAS IN ALPHA" Cowsep moments.
