About the new Honor system...
I honestly think that it is an INCREDIBLE idea and DEFINITELY is a good thing for the game. It gives great positive reinforcement for sportsmanlike conduct, and gives people a reason to turn the other cheek.
However...
Like any system, I'm afraid it does have its glaring flaws. Once again, even if it's not perfect, it is a HUGE step in the right direction. And before you think this is the whole "Honorable Opponent" thing, it's not. This is about the end-of-game lobby.
This is where a lot of players vent their final frustrations about their team, even if they stayed quiet the whole game. Since this is the case (even with the new honor system), I can't imagine the feeling of deception some players get after having honored a player and then seeing them rant about how bad the person was in-game.
My solution is simple: Put the honor screen after the end-of-game lobby.
After that, go to a screen that shows what honors you got and the portraits and names of the other people in the game; highlighting the most honorable players. This final screen is on a timer which would probably be intertwined with the Honor screen timer; once you give your honor, whatever time is left on the Honor screen timer has 30 seconds or something added to it, during which you can view the final screen. If you let the Honor screen timer run out, you only get the time that would've been added ("30 seconds or something", as I said).
So, yeah, don't really know if it's a good idea or a bad idea since there are probably loads of other factors I haven't taken into account. Feel free to criticize it all you want, I really don't care. The real point of this post isn't to raise awareness for my solution. It's to raise awareness for the issue I'm attempting to solve.
