Can we stop the mentality that mid/top/junglers don't need any support?

Right now the community seems to believe that the adc is the only one who needs support. This is a very toxic mentality because other champions can benefit from support just as well. We have supports who would rather shield a 90% hp adc over a 10% hp fighter/mage/tank/assassin. So please, support mains: before mindlessly buffing your adc, consider how the rest of your team can use your buffs.

I am not referring to the players as toxic. I am just referring to the thought that marksman are the only class that get support.

juggernauts are designed to be supported as much as marksmen.

just instead of needing support to stay away from opponents, they usually need support from tanks and enchanters to get onto their opponent, and stick to him.

as carries, theyre basically the antithesis of marksmen. theyre only effective when they get either into the middle of the enemy team and survive there, or onto a priority target. but they usually wont make it past the enemy teams kiting on their own.

skirmishers and divers are a bit more self sufficient in their engages, but theyre also squishier in teamfights they need mostly protection and shielding.

ap carries need peel support just as marksmen do.

In comparison to all the other carry classes, marksmen are the most helpless and defenseless with some exceptions, and when they become self reliant, people don't like that either.

Unless the ADC is somehow in more danger of dying than the mage, they'll use it on the mage. Unless they're just terrible, in which case they already wasted it before the fight began.
ADCs generally do need the buffs more. Mages are self-sufficient, as they have range, hard CC, and burst. Assassins are generally moving too fast for a support to meaningfully buff them in a fight without putting themselves in significant danger. Other supports are generally supporting themselves as well. Tanks often don't need anything a support has to give them except for the possibility of a heal or stat buff (which is generally AoE). Juggernauts generally don't need the kinds of buffs that enchanters have - they need hard CC and engages, not heals and shields. Divers are a bit of a mix of assassins and ADCs - they want the shield, but they're also often too far away to reasonably be helped. Plus, they're rather self-sufficient.

I had a zac and mid vel koz while i was ranking my smurf flaming me for not staying bot lane with vayne when the vayne was doing dumb mistakes costing us in the 2v2 fights.

Who knew having zac engaged buffed by lulu is a good combo? Or the fact that vel koz can get away with mejais cause he had a lulu on him at all times?

You can't really blame them: a shielded ADC can kill a whole team in seconds, while a fighter/mage/tank/assassin might at most hope to provide distraction or maybe get a return kill.

TBF, we ALSO have a lot of "supports" that would rather buff themselves rather than use their shields/buffs/Regens/whatever on ANYONE (including the adc).

The saddest thing is when you're a support, and you go and help the other laners, and your ADC flames you and/or dies stupidly 5 steps from the enemy tower. Had 3 of those so far today; at least one of those times I'd moved in response to the enemy support going mid before me....
