It's been over a year since Taliyah was ruined, time to revert.

This little experiment should be considered a failure by now- FOR A RECAP: Her threaded volley was given single target damage and no longer had AOE, in exchange it no longer did reduced damage except to champions. Also Taliyah was given better more movespeed and hp, worked ground no longer gave movespeed but instead a 1 mana Q. Rock Surfing was improved. A few patches later, they would make threaded volley to reduced damage to all enemy targets again (champions, minions, and monsters) to try and kill Taliyah Jungle, effective killing the tradeoff for losing Q AOE Taliyah Jungle still exists, though is way weaker. Mid Taliyah is getting outshoved by Veigar.

Now I'm sure the "waveclear meta' was terrible and Riot made many steps to reduce it, however since Taliyah is a roaming mage there needs to be a decision made. Why can an assassin shove and roam but not a mage, without exceptions? There should always be an exception to the rule, So why not Taliyah? Could Taliyah at least have average waveclear for a mage at level 1-3, like Lux shoves better atm.

Just give the AOE back, I was on Taliyah mains the other day and most of her mains are bored to tears playing this champion without the Q aoe. They are starting to play Syndra or whatever mages got nice buffs recently... Myself I've played Taliyah 10 times this season and am already top 1000 world, which is funny AF, I played Taliyah 50 times last year until the rework, where I tried to become a jungle player.

Riot should keep the rest of the changes I guess- Also fix the weird bug/feature where worked ground takes .5 seconds to activate causing 1 mana full volleys or full mana 1 volleys.

Why does Riot hate this champ??...

Because she's strong in pro play, but in gold and below 99% of players don't know how to play her.

Low elo Taliyah main here. I think it's a fair nerf. I miss the AOE Q most in team fights. I used to feel like I did legit damage to front lines.

Perhaps a good compromise would be to add the AOE back if the Q first hits a champion. What do you think?

Side note: how do you use Taliyahs ult around objectives? I really only use it for ganks/escapes.

Besides "but pro-play" is a completely dumb arguement. The Taliyah changes last year increased her pickrate in pro-play, not decreased. They made Taliyah jungle a thing and now they can't kill it. Leaving Taliyah mid in the dust.

So all their changes accomplished was changing Taliyah from a mid to a jungle. They didn't get her to be picked less in pros and be easier in low elo. that's only what they said it should accomplish, which it clearly did not.
