These supports can:
Everything but sustain - Not currently getting nerfed
Has a shield. Has a knockup on Q, pushes back with R and heals. Has a slow on W - Currently being nerfed
A slow on Q, can hit multiple targets. W prevents damage for a short period of time, can also be casted on allies to speed them up. E is a shield, Ult is a knock up with decent health regen. - Has been nerfed into the ground, forced to stay in a role - Where Janna is likely to end up after the next 5 nerfs, 5 patches in a row
Engage with W, does hardly any damage unless her passive is pressed. Q stuns, W increases tank stats and ultimate stuns with a slow if it misses the general hit.
knock-up on Q, displacement with W, heal on E that is absolutely terrible. It is worth mentioning that the heal should hardly be taken into consideration late game. Ultimate gains attack damage (Because nothing screams support like attack damage, NAMI-EAN?) and most importantly extreme durability for a short period of time.
Worth mentioning that she can be another bursty mage late-game if she is picked into the support role, therefore giving the team with her as a support additional power to rely on. Her passive offers a stun every 3 spells, holding it usually. Q - damage, W - damage - E - prevents early game damage but usually is used to get her passive up. Ultimate is impossible to prevent if you are at all in her distance, unless if you read the enemy and use a spell shield or buy
So basically, if you want damage for support with a little support stuns. Use annie. Just know that you may be poked out of lane sooner than if you had Soraka or Janna.
Has terrible damage mid-late game to late game. Nerfed into the ground because Riot doesn't like supports doing damage
(Brand because Riot suggested Brand support one day. I love contradictions! Yum!)
Has one of the worst heals in the game with a shield, has one of the worst movespeed buffs in the game, her ultimate is good but fails to make her viable as a better choice than Nami. There really is no real reason to pick this champion considering Nami currently exists. -Has been nerfed into the ground, because supports aren't allowed to do damage. Duh.
Heals. That is all. (I main Soraka, my favorite champion to play." -has been relatively untouched recently. I pray that each day the balancing team looks at Soraka, that leave her alone. ALONE. ALONEEEEEEEEEEE - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoOy4_F2a44
Basically Sona 2.0. Has AOE knock-up that is MASSIVE if it hits a team. Has sustain, a slow and a knock-up ultimate that slows for a short period of time. In my opinion, Nami, Leona and Janna are perfect designs for a support. They don't have overloaded kits that lead to problems like "A - B = C and therefore, we can not do D BUT if we calculate T into H then possibly we can do 6 + 3 because the kit might be just a little less overloaded.
Has a snare passive every #, a hook that pulls his enemy to himself a short distance, perfect for engaging. Has a shield for only himself. Has an AOE slow, and a knock-up ultimate that can be countered with
and more.
Has a situational stun, with a situational movement skill, with a situational ultimate and a situational heal outside of lane, that is by the way, relatively useless lategame! :DDDDDDD
Has a long fear, sustain for himself and extended dps. Huge dps with his ult, although concluding that he is building support, the damage will be less. Though it is AOE. Also has a silence.
This is a design, that I would like to be considered healthy BUT damn close to being overloaded. He has a situational stun which is based on his three stack passive, basically every new champion has one of these. And he can eat the enemy based on the stacks he has on them, but also can eat his ally to gain movespeed or get out of trouble. He has a heal for himself which can turn into a bubble to protect himself or prevent death. His ultimate is transportation for himself or also an ally.
There are more supports in the game, but generally when a champion is suppose to be nerfed in the game it is because they are too strong to be challenged, not because they are strong. Janna is being nerfed because she is strong. Lulu, was nerfed because she was too strong for the current meta. (Funny, how Riot shoves the meta down our throat.) Why in the hell, is my dude Thresh. The guy that does EVERYTHING in the entire game, literally everything, besides sustain, not being NERFED!? Is it because Janna has a shield? Thresh has a shield. Is it because Janna has a knock-up? Thresh has that and a slow! Is it because Janna has a pretty bad slow? Thresh has two of them! One of them is for 99% and can be applied MULTIPLE TIMES.
The balancing team, seriously. I am just, trying. Like, trying to think. About how much snuff and coke that the balancing team does when they worry about specific champions being too strong for the game. Seriously, I can just imagine some of them talking to themselves, itching their necks and hunched over their desk like some sort of freak. Huffing and puffing about how Janna has a shield.
"But Subject 5, Thresh has a below 50% win rate!" Allow me to show you, the apparently OP champions in the game, above Janna that is worth nerfing.
