How come URF getting stale and repetitive and boring is the reason it got removed from RGM

But Poro King is still here?

Poro King doesn't have people spamming the same 10 champs over and over and over again. Games are diverse and fun because people actually play around and try to have a good time, instead of trying to cheese thr cheapest win possible.

No not really... at least not here in EUNE. Every game is pretty much the same.

Well I've played a plenty of Poro King and I rarely saw the exact team comps like I saw in URF. People didn't care about being competitive in Poro King, which is not what can be said for URF.

Because players started to build a meta around it despite the fact it was -drumroll- for fun. Competitive players ruin everything. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Riot is more proud of URF. Keeping it as a limited feature maintains some of the hype, which as you mentioned, is already falling off.

Cause URF is the same freaking champs every time. Boring as hell. Poro King is not the same champs every time.

SOOO....dont want to see the same 20 champs.......meanwhile in aram they specifically set about 20-30 champs to have a higher % chance of getting.....dont believe me? go play about 20 games of aram, i play aram while im at work so i dont have to leave a ranked game, and honestly i have seen just about every champ, but about 30 champs apear more often then not

also funny thinking about vieger... he is already pretty broken in aram cause its easy as hell to stack, imagine URF vieger in aram, gg at 5 min cause vieger has 500 ap already boys

You can play still URF whenever you want, but they call it "Season 6 Normals".

Think about it. Mana means nothing anymore after the first back, and every item has CDR now. I'm waiting for the "Long Swords and Cloth Armor now give you 10% CDR" patch.

For Poro King and URF they should implement the 10 bans system. This would help these modes a lot.

You know what, a 10 ban system would also be great in ARAM. Why not have bans, then have the champs randomly assigned after the bans are made? Seems good.

This would make all of these modes a lot more fun. 130+ champs in this game, if 10 get banned there are still 120 left. Broken mode champs spoil a lot of the fun. Hopefully Riot would then take some notes when certain champs are banned nearly 100% of the time and do something about the broken mechanics that makes a huge proportion of the player base think they aren't fun to play against.

10 bans will solve nothing. The top 10 will be banned and people will just pick the next top 10.

Poro King needs way more changes to not be just a glorified ABAM anyway.

URF needs some balance changes so some champions like Galio or Alistar aren't literally unkillable. There are some champions that have small tweaks already to their CDs that made them healthier (Hecarim is still strong but not as obnoxious for example, Sona isn't immortal anymore but can still do the same thing as before if you let her, etc), so why not add more? Stuff like removing the Zed W being reduced by E hits for example would help a lot.

Well I don't know if it would matter much in URF, I've never had a chance to play it, but 10 bans obviously does solve something. In the worst case it means nearly twice as many broken champs removed from the pool in that game mode. For ARAM and Poro King this would mean pretty much all of the ridiculously OP champions, all the ones with across the board win rate above 60% in those game modes, for example (Sona, for instance, currently sitting at ~70% across the board win rate in ARAM).

Poro King is like ARAM, of course, but has large differences that shouldn't be ignored. The most important being you get to pick your own champions. But the introduction of the Poro King and the Poro Toss also changes the game mode substantially. There is actually a lot of strategy potential in the Poro King mechanic, since you have control over where it spawns if you are coordinated enough to wait and throw your 10th poro at the right time, and also the Poro King knocks down towers super fast so it tends to make the game mode much faster and with even fewer than normal resets (ARAM has few compared to SR, Poro King has practically none). The presence of the Poro King forces the game to be much more aggressive, because he is going for it and it is worth the team's effort to try to go with him. The Poro Toss is like spammable snowball with much longer range, much shorter cooldown, and that does much more damage, such that it also changes the dynamic considerably, most especially in the sense it allows characters to flash blitz each other much more often and effectively than normal. For example, in a game I was just in I was playing around with AP Kog, would have been very safe in normal ARAM, but with poro toss their Garen could constantly hit me with the snowball while I was blasting them from afar with acid reign (sic) and then blitz on top of me in a sacrifice play, he almost always died but i almost always died too.
