why does morgana have a 3 second snare duration?
Mid/Late game, if one of the teammates get caught by it already considered a free kill unless you have qss, but most of that time thats only for assassins/adcs

free kills you say ?

free kills you say ?
well Im not saying blitz is balanced
in fact I find him to be complete bs, back then before he got his W nerfed, his winrate was 54% while being at the top 5 for a long time, after his W got nerfed, his winrate got spiked down to 49% and people assume that "blitz is terrible" but then after its been played for a while longer... his fucking winrate spiked back up at 53%.................
I think morgana is equally bad as blitz because you can spam Q with morg and there's no penalty because her Q engages AND disengages so you never put yourself in any danger.
Then again blitz engages better if he's in the right situation and he can make picks across walls better. But we've all seen the 1v5 blitz' "but muh hook"
shrugs
Because it's always been her thing, I guess? It's iconic, the whole "Get hit by snare and my team reports me for afk" kind of deal.
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm grasping at straws, but I feel like they tend to nerf things her pool or when it comes to other champions nerfing Blitz's W instead of his Q and things like that. Spellshield is cool and unique and all, but having the strongest snare is kind of Morgana's thing as well.
If the duration was nerfed, Morgana could probably get compensation buffs elsewhere (ie: power shift), but I'm not sure Riot would like it. It might also be due to her being mostly played as a support (sorry Morg midlaners, but she's balanced as a support too :/ ), so a snare isn't as impactful or deadly as a Blitz grab or a Leona stun due to how snares work (although it certainly makes skillshots and ganks easier to execute!) with being able to cast abilities and autoattack.
This is the best approach for this sort of thing. Keeping iconic abilities intact is what Riot likes to do.
Unless the champion is
Reworks are controversial in that regard, because they change the champion down to the core even in that regard.
At least he kept quite a bit of his iconic kit (oranges, pistol, ultimate).

Still find this really stupid. Especially with the loss of some tenacity on mercs.
Because it's her thing. Morg would be a lot less unique and interesting to play if her Q was just a generic snare. Having a ludicrously long snare has always been a huge part of her identity.
Pretty much because her kit wouldn't really work without it, not like you're just going to stand in tormented soil because she asked nicely
