I fucking hate fizz

Hes E is by far one of the WORST abilities I have ever seen, no matter what I do when I was blitzcrank or any other champ that hard cc's him, He just E's away like its nothing, and if we manage to catch him again, he will just zhonyas in a middle of the teamfight and go back in and use his 4.8 seconds E ability which is overloaded as hell

literally his E has: Waveclear Untargetable mobility gapcloser slow cc

in just one ability....

if he uses e to waveclear he should be really easy to gank, if he isnt using e u should be harrassing the sh*t out of him. also stop wasting all ur skillshots in once, bait him to use his e..

A Miss Fortune34 votes

That's not really counterplay though, that's relying on the enemy Fizz to be bad.

Tannhäuser Gate3 votes

All you need is two strong cc abilities, he can only dodge one.

Voluug139 votes

Not many champions even have 1. How do you expect someone to have 2?

At most we have Liss, Annie, Malza and Swain but all of them are reactionary and cant really initiate on Fizz because 0 mobility.

Mallory3302 votes

lis has no mobility? ight dawg

Diananmen Square5 votes

Her mobility is very predicable. You can see her coming.

Voluug132 votes

Considering she literally marks where she will arrive and the claw is very slow, its not useful against champions with mobility.

Except Playful/Trickster has a 4.8 seconds once Fizz gets his first item item 3165.

A good Fizz is only going to use E to react to a skill shot. You can't bait it out without losing something equally powerful. Granted, there are other ways to defeat Fizz.

Fizz is extremely vulnerable against certain match ups such as Akali (Fizz can't peel off Akali, and she can avoid most of her early game damage by using her shroud after Fizz activates Seastone trident) and Chogath (Near instant W prevents him from hopping away.) However, likewise he absolutely destroys other match ups such as Azir.

OP probably just played a champion that didn't have the tools to deal with Fizz.

Ahri?

how ahri players can get caught by fizz without him using both of his mobility spells to gapclose is beyond me

GastonBarnacles3 votes

This ahri is bad or just a whiner cause she got outplayed hard.

Sir Fuzzi2 votes

Ahri's plenty equipped. Her CC can very easily force Fizz to bail out, or over-commit, very early into an engagement.

She's got everything she needs to deal with him, she can drop a QWE and walk in the other direction while Fizz shreds himself on all three.

I think people are just uppity because they're losing, lately.

I love when people list all of the things Fizz E does like it's a good thing.

Having all that tied to his E is actually a good thing. It forces Fizz to choose what to use it for (in lane - wave clear or save it for a possible incoming gank | team fight - use it for damage or to escape death, etc.).

The ability itself is fine, it just needs to have a longer cool down.

The CD is the problem... if he couldn't do ALL those things with such a short CD it wouldn't be an issue... That is what people are complaining about.. I love when people make comments that completely contradict the smug point they are trying to make.

Llanite4 votes

8s and 1/4 mana pool is neither short nor cheap. Love it when people assume someone to have unlimited resources.

Nefas6 votes

Because flask isn't a thing.

Llanite2 votes

Flask heals 60 mana each and takes 12s, so you are looking at one E every 25s, and you can do it one and a half time, because flask only has 3 charges.

JedenVojak11 votes

It also costs 130 mana. That's more than most ultimates.

Rikari7 votes

Lux 's E isn't that good though for the same price

His Q is a pretty bad gap closer, his W is just a small AA- empower- thing and his ult is a slow as heck skillshot that gets countered by both Zhonyas and QSS, but its not hard to dodge either. His E is definetely strong, but Fizz, unlike some other champs, can get countered by good play since all of his abilities are pretty easy to dodge (except for Q). There might not be much you can do once you get hit by his ult (apart from flashing his E, playing a counter or having Zhonyas/ QSS) but imagine how bad he would be if you wouldnt blow up if he hits his fish.

Like, Fizz is basically Zed. They get countered by the same champs and items, just that Zed has better wave clear, is manaless, is AD, can/ will build to have sustain, has ranged herass, a really good laning phase, can split push better, doesnt totally rely on a skillshot. So idk why people dont complain about him :[

Aaravos2 votes

Not everything is true what you are saying here. His q is a gap-closer with 100+ ap ratio with low cd and always travel to a fix distance, also function as an aa reset. His w is a very powerful aa empower, probably only matched my Diana's passive. The only thing common with Zed is the way to counter his ultimate, also post zhonya Fizz should outduel Zed. Fizz himself is a strong champion if played properly but the current zone control focused meta don't rly fit to him so there is no real reson to complain about him.

Penns4 votes

What his Q has 30% AP scaling from what I know? ._. And his total 45% AP scaling W isnt that great either. I know both spells are pretty good, but theyre not like... Really impactful. Like, his Q is "dash and deal some damage, cant go thru walls tho item 3070 Yasuo " and his W is "some more dmg on aas, hf".

Aaravos4 votes

Since his q is based around on-hit effects you will always enchant it with something. 35% + 30% from w + 50% from lich bane total 115% ap and 45% ap over the next 3 second. If you add something else to it (nashor, ludens) it can nearly one shot squishy targets. His w deal 30 + 30%ap on hit and 60 + 45%ap over 3 second and with 40% cdr it don't has cd. What you want from these abilities? Your last sentence is a bit ununderstandable. "cant go thru walls tho" wtf?

Because he has 47% win rate and is one of the worst champs in the game? Fizz is better than Zed.

Meeks0112 votes

Fizz has a 48% winrate and Aatrox has a 54% winrate. Does this make Fizz bad and Aatrox OP? Winrates don't mean shit bro. Other things do. Notice on champion.gg that Fizz has the second highest amount of average kills for mid and 3rd highest average killing spree. Zed has 6th highest amount of kills and 10th highest killing spree. Also Zed has a higher play rate, and thank god for that as Fizz ruins my day.

As a Malzahar main, who is Fizz?

Is it that fish thing that tries to dive me and gets ulted in tower range, then dies because he rushed zhonyas?

Tannhäuser Gate4 votes

No, thats Diana, Fizz is the samurai dude with way too much mobility

Byakuya Kuchiki6 votes

no fizz is the one that ults you and then w q's into you under tower and when you ult watches you get knocked up and finishes you with e and barely living by q'ing out :D

Plenty of champs with toxic abominations of a kit

Fizz Leblanc Darius Kalista Heimerdinger Vladimir to name a few

Fact is Riot isn't going to remove these champions and the reworks, assuming they even end up solving the problems, are far off.

Either ban them, play them, or get used to them, unfortunately.

jeremiahBIO16 votes

Heimerdinger this one needs to die in the deepest darkest part of hell.

Voluug131 votes

Heimer is useless and inoffensive if you dont dive him 1v1 with a cc-less melee assassin.

Its time people learn their match-ups instead of going on blindly and first pick a melee assassin on midlane then crying that their counter is OP and they cant kill it 1v1.

Only Play Darius7 votes

Lol Heimer mid isn't what concerns me. Most mages can deal with the turrets and you're more likely to get a gank.

It's Heimer top.

ahri main complaining about overloaded kits. TOP FUCKIGN KEK

NineTailedMystic4 votes

First time I've ever heard of Ahri having an overloaded kit.

Goodest Gamer4 votes

q has true damage, movement speed, and heal. shes impossible to catch, impossible to run from, and has a charm to make sure you cant engage on her so she can then retaliate with her ulti

GastonBarnacles2 votes

Her charm should be completely removed. Anyone that mobile with abilities like hers should be able to survive without it. Its such bs that you cant chase her cause of it.

Vekkna2 votes

All of her skills are mid-range skillshots or short/melee range. Idk, of all the annoying champs in the game or hard-to-dodge skillshots, Ahri is really low on the list for me. She can be slippery, but she's never invisible, never invulnerable, never spawns clones, doesn't have a million clutch shields, can't teleport-juke halfway across the map, and can't snipe you from 3000 range during a recall.

When I face an Ahri, I'm just grateful that I can actually fucking see her and happy to know that when I attack her, it will actually do damage. And if she's low, she won't disappear to god knows where. She can be hard to play against, but she's not the dishonorable bullshit we get with Fizz, Leblanc, Riven, etc.

Ralanr2 votes

Yeah...not sure why it does damage.

Lord Dusteon4 votes

{quoted}

Yeah...not sure why it does damage.

Because otherwise he would never use his E offensively. It doing damage means he has to decide whether to use it to escape and dodge abilities or to jump in for the damage, but lose his defensive ability for a critical time. If his E did not do damage he would literally never use it except to disengage or dodge something.

Ariel the Cruel7 votes

The better question is why Ekko's ult does damage. And not a small amount.

It forces you to guard his ghost while.... not being near his ghost... counter-play!

IcyPepper1 votes

That's how counterplay works, though.

You have options, each has its risks (the first risks taking damage if you're too close, too far will make escape easier), and he has options that has risks. Counterplay isn't completely reducing risk (even Banshee's veil can be popped early on purpose by the enemy), it's playing around your opponent while they play around you. Like chess, the queen seems overpowered but she can be taken down just like the rest.

Ekko can't aim his ult, so he needs to time or position four seconds ahead of time if he wants to use it optimally. A panic ult wastes decent initiation, and a late ult can be pointless. If you don't want to be hit by the ghost, you risk letting him go. The counterplay to that entire idea is just having the cc tank or whoever is tanky and has some way to grab him stand at the ghost, and not standing by it if you're a squishy. There you go.

Ariel the Cruel1 votes

The counterplay to that entire idea is just having the cc tank or whoever is tanky and has some way to grab him stand at the ghost, and not standing by it if you're a squishy. There you go.

You're the CC tank: Guard his ghost to CC him encase he ults, or chase and CC him hoping he doesn't. Lose either way.

You're the Damage source: Chase him and let him potentially escape with his ult. Or guard his ghost and let him kill you with it. Lose either way.

His ult creates false decisions because you lose no matter what he does.

Make no mistake. I'm not calling Ekko toxic, OP, or anything of the sort. But from a design/game-play perspective, I don't understand the logic behind his ult.

IcyPepper2 votes

Cinematic: Ekko goes back in time to try again.

Gameplay: Ekko creates giant explosion and probably runs away.

You're definitely not wrong there :P It it were up to me, I'd have his ult do absolutely no damage and reduce his cooldowns (or maybe just his E cooldown...) by a couple seconds. But that would probably add to his mobility, even if hypothetically it reduced his burst, but whatever. That might break him more, who knows? I'm not balance.

And I figured we were talking in a teamfighting scenario. One person chases him, the other hangs by his ghost if your goal is to catch him. If Ekko ults, cc tank holds him down while dps does a 180 and destroys him. In laning... well, let's be thankful he's basically a jungler now, his jungle role is more popular and successful (and let's be real, if he was primarily a midlaner he'd be just as annoying as Fizz).

Ariel the Cruel1 votes

And I figured we were talking in a teamfighting scenario.

Teamfight dynamics mess a lot of things up. But no. I'm talking strictly game-play/design.

IcyPepper2 votes

http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18k5i5ha25ynigif/original.gif

Then it's a good thing he's balanced for jungling now. Nobody wants a Fizz 2.0.

ComannderShepard2 votes

would it be better if it gave him a damage reduction instead of making him untargetable

High52 votes

He's not unbeatable. The people who have figured that out have put the time into learning how to counter Fizz. The lazy players post on the forums about how they hate Fizz.

SpecterVonBaren1 votes

The only issue I see with his E is that it's cooldown is too short, especially if he gets some cdr.
